We hope that your flight is for an early landing in Uganda. Your safari will start from Entebbe International Airport where the assigned professional tour driver-guide will receive you and then depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda, harboring over 300 of them, which is almost half of the world’s gorilla population. The drive will take you to southwest Uganda by road. You will cross the equator mark, then head to Mbarara city for lunch, thereafter pass through the hilly terrain of western Uganda into Bwindi. You will arrive and do little but just check in to your accommodation and relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the next day.

After enjoying breakfast, head to the rangers’ post for a briefing on trekking etiquette. Enter the captivating Bwindi Forest, renowned for its steep, densely forested terrain crisscrossed by animal trails accessible to tourists. Trekking duration and terrain are influenced by the gorillas' movements. Once a gorilla group is located, you'll have an unforgettable hour observing these gentle yet endangered giants.

Return to your accommodation, check out, and transfer to the picturesque Lake Bunyonyi. Framed by lush, green-terraced hills reaching heights of 2,200 – 2,478m, Lake Bunyonyi's allure is heightened by its 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across its waters.
