Murchison Falls National Park

Hopefully, your flight is scheduled for an early landing in Entebbe. Your guide/driver will pick you from Entebbe Airport and head out for Murchison falls. The highlights of this park include; the roaring rapids of the Murchison, the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park where you will have the chance of viewing lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. Then surely you will be fascinated by the concentration of hippos and the Nile crocodiles here. For birders, Murchison Falls boasts 450 bird species including the elusive shoebill stork, dwarf king fisher, the white-thigh hornbill, and the Goliath heron among others. En route, make a stopover at Zziwa Rhino sanctuary for your first Big 5 experience where you will have an hour of rhino tracking. Another stop will be in Masindi in order to enjoy your lunch. Continue to the park and check in to your accommodation to relax for the Evening.

Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, tour the Northern section of Murchison with a high concentration of savannah wildlife. Enjoy game viewing and photography of elephants, buffalos, waterbucks, giraffes, Uganda kobs and lions, the leopards (if you are lucky) plus a variety of bird species. Return to your accommodation for lunch then go for the boat trip to the base of the falls. This trip is said to be the highlight of the safari in Murchison falls since it allows you to get up close to the animal species within the water. Cruise past huge hippo pods, crocodiles, bathing buffalo, and numerous aquatic birds adorning the north bank on the way to the mighty waterfalls. You will have an opportunity to take thousands of pictures (and so carry your camera with you if you like. Also, proceed for a hike (if you like) to the top of the falls. The hike is a strenuous one but the thrill on reaching the top is unforgettable. Miss it only if you must! Return to your accommodation thereafter.

Day 3

Exit Murchison for a return to Entebbe to catch

Entebbe

Have breakfast then drive to the top of the falls (if you didn’t hike) to enjoy the spectacular view of the falls and thereafter depart for Kampala and connect to Entebbe Airport. We had an amazing experience, our guide was super, we slept in Tilenga lodge, a hotel that was hospitable and we dearly loved the almost everything. Don’t forget to carry mosquito repellent everywhere you go.

My wife and I loved this amazing experience. Our guide, David Gaudi made sure we saw everything and were comfortable throughout the experience. We saw so many animals during our time (leopards, lions, elephants, hippos, rhinos, zebras, and birds of all kinds). The resort was great and located inside the national park. We also did a boat tour of the Nile and visited a Rhino preserve. I would strongly recommend the tour and David Gaudi as a guide.

I had an incredible time! Our guide Eddy made our experience so amazing, I feel so thankful that we were with him. My favorite things we saw were the lions, elephants and rhinos! The lodge was great, and I felt very taken care of the entire time. The schedule always felt clear and I didn’t have to worry about anything while on the trip. Again, having Eddy guide us these past few days was a true joy, he’s the best!!!

Expertly planned. Charming guide. Clear communication. Saw 4 of the Big 5 in 4 hours. Ngoni Safari is the company to use. Eddy was our guide, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Eddy was upbeat, insightful, informative, and seemed to know every other park ranger and tour guide we came across. Eddy is the best. Our group of 5 loved the accommodations Ngoni Safari put together for us in Murchinson Falls Park, staying at Tilenga Safari Lodge, for our 3-day Safari (2 days in the park, and 1 travel day round trip to Entebbe). I recommend you make the best tour decision for you, and go with Eddy at Ngoni.

Great Safari experience! Amazing places and beautiful animals. My guide was extremely competent and knowledgeable and very friendly! Would definitely recommend. The 3 days tour is a bit tiring, an extra day would be better but if you do not have the time for it, it is definitely worth!

Great choice for visiting Murchison falls and Ziwa rhino and managing gorilla permits. Very good and clear communication with Sedrick from reservation team. Our guide Elly took good care of us from the beginning and made sure we were enjoying the trip. He gave us good contacts on other guides and advises for our next days in Uganda. We had a great time with Ngoni.

As a single female traveller over 60 years of age I really enjoyed this holiday. Accommodation was quite basic, but this was too be expected and food showed much creativity but the company was enjoyable and activities varied and very interesting...I strongly recommend this company.
