Today we will be exploring Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. Due to its location at the crossroads between Europe and Asia and its proximity to the Silk Road, Tbilisi has been a point of contention for various global powers throughout history.
Even today, Tbilisi’s location ensures it is an important transit route for energy and trade projects. The city’s history is reflected in its architecture, which is a mix of medieval, neoclassical, Beaux Arts, Art Nouveau, Soviet, and modern structures.
We will be visiting the most iconic sights of the city and delve deeper into its culture and history. We will also discuss modern life and little bit of political situation.

The Marionette Theater building and the Clocktower became very popular amongst tourists because of its original architectural style and artistic spirit.
Anchiskhati Basilica
Anchiskhati Basilica is the oldest church standing in Tbilisi. Originally built in the 6th century, it remains the oldest cultural, religious and historical relic in the old town.

5.00What a fantastic guide and sweet person. He fit the itinerary to our interests in our private tour and the price was very reasonable and well worth it! He is also a musician like us and it was great to get so much history and insight into the local culture and buildings and also info about where to eat and drink and go out. I also thought he was one of our favorite guides anywhere in terms of being very easy going and somehow sensing how much info we wanted/needed and answering all questions we had and making us comfortable, suggesting the best spots or photos and giving us space to just walk and enjoy the city when we wanted to. Would love to hire him again and do a full day excursion to mtskheta etc.

5.00The walking tour was a perfect introduction to Tbilisi, covering all the main old town sights, plus some extra places of interest as we ambled through the winding streets. Luka was happy to share his extensive knowledge of history, culture and architecture, and thoughtfully accommodated any requests. It was an excellent morning.
