Today we will be exploring Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. Due to its location at the crossroads between Europe and Asia and its proximity to the Silk Road, Tbilisi has been a point of contention for various global powers throughout history.
Even today, Tbilisi’s location ensures it is an important transit route for energy and trade projects. The city’s history is reflected in its architecture, which is a mix of medieval, neoclassical, Beaux Arts, Art Nouveau, Soviet, and modern structures.
We will be visiting the most iconic sights of the city and delve deeper into its culture and history. We will also discuss modern life and little bit of political situation.

The walking tour was a perfect introduction to Tbilisi, covering all the main old town sights, plus some extra places of interest as we ambled through the winding streets. Luka was happy to share his extensive knowledge of history, culture and architecture, and thoughtfully accommodated any requests. It was an excellent morning.
