This tour gives you a unique opportunity to visit our favourite neighborhood mountain: Geitanuken as you immerse yourself into the Norwegian "friluftsliv" lifestyle together with our local guides.

What To Expect
Experience the Norwegian lifestyle. Join us for a neighborhood hike with a true local! We will hike to our favourite spot on top of the Geitanuken mountain. The hike up is only 20-40 minutes, and is suitable for all ages. At the top you will have stunning views of Bergen, Åsane and of course the beautiful fjord. Low effort hike with very high rewards. After reaching the top we will stop for photos, for coffee and water, and simply take in the gorgeous views.
After enjoying the stunning views of Geitanuken, the next stop is our family home in Morvik. We live just at the foot of the mountain with a view of Bergen and the fjord. Here we will treat you to a Norwegian snack. Waffles, cinnamon roll, or whatever delicious treat we have available on that day. We can't wait to show you around our neighborhood!

5.00We had a nice time! the hike wasn’t too strenuous, but can be slippery so good to hear appropriate footwear. Jan was a gracious host, and showed us spectacular views of the fjords around Bergen. Finished the hike with tea and snacks in his home, recommend for a nice day in Bergen.

5.00Great hike with a hospitable tour guide! The view was incredible from the top! My guide picked me up from my hotel, guided me up the mountain, took photos, shared pastries and coffee following the hike, and drive me back to my hotel. Very pleasant experience!

5.00If you're interested in a stunning hike with fantastic guides, this is a must. The trail is near their home in a neighborhood that overlooks Bergen. Although the trail is occasionally steep and challenging at times, the guides are experienced at pacing the walk and making the experience delightful. The view at the peak is epic.

Not only was the hike fantastic, but we also had a wonderful visit with his family after the hike while we were treated to hot drinks and homemade pastries. I highly recommend adding this to your itinerary!

5.00What a wonderful experience! I booked this for December 20th2024 and was worried about the weather, but the guide had everything under control. This is a doable hike for all fitness and a must for anybody looking for an interdiction into hiking in norway. The guide lives at the start of the trail which gives him the knowledge of the route that can't be matched. The views are unbelievable, and as from what I could see this isn't your normal tourist hiking trail as its outside the normal area. Only the lucky few who book this tour will experience all this has to offer. The cream on top, is the sweet treats and fresh drinks at their beautiful home afterwards. I only wish I took pictures of the views from the home. Thank you for a wonderful experience .
