What To Expect

Nine Holy Cannons

9 cannons that Hue artisans cast in Gia Long’s second year (1803). Nine cannons are considered as one of the most valuable bronze works of art. The ancient nine cannons were placed at the foot of the Imperial Citadel, at the entrance of the Ngo Mon Gate – the imperial city of Hue. During the reign of King Khai Dinh, they were relocated to their current position.

Very entertaining interesting Imperial Palace Tour We had a really wonderful entertaining time with our guide Bem. She had arrived at the meeting point very punctually. And despite the rainy weather, the sun immediately rose and the spark of kindness has jumped. Your modern way to introduce us to the culture of the Imperial Palace is very refreshing. We also learned a lot about how a young Vietnamese woman imagines her future. All coupled with a lot of wit and esprit. A real recommendation.

Had a great tour with Bem around the Imperial City, she was very knowledgeable and a great tour guide. After the tour she took us to have a Vietnamese coffee at a quirky cafe and gave us a recommendation for lunch to taste the local Vietnamese cakes. This was a highlight of our trip to Hué as we would never have gone to this place as it was outside our comfort zone sitting with Vietnamese eating their cuisine - they even showed us how to eat these dishes. Would definitely recommend Bem and this tour 😊

Our tour guide - Vy - gave an excellent guided tour through the citadel. We were educated about the history of Vietnam, its Emperors, and Vietnamese culture in general. She took us for coffee afterwards and gave a gift afterwards. I’d highly recommend Hue and this tour.

Very nice visit of the Imperial city, our guide Bem was fantastic, it was a 3rd visit for me and I discovered again new things about the life and history of the palace. Bem’s enthusiasm for his work is infectious, I highly recommend the visit with Bem.
