After the descent, the experience continues on Lake Coatepeque, a volcanic lake surrounded by mountains, ideal for resting, enjoying the atmosphere or recovering energy before returning. My friends and I had a fantastic experience visiting Santa Ana and hiking to the top of the volcano. Our guide, Ronald, picked us up on time as scheduled (actually, he was here early), and was immediately very friendly and welcoming. He explained much of the surrounding sites along the drive, took us to get food/water and use the bathroom beforehand, made sure we connected with our tour group at the park, and waited for us the whole time. The hike itself was stunning. Afterwards, Ronald took us for lunch at a restaurant with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed every moment of the experience.
