This is a popular recreational area for the locals living in and around Zurich and offers incredible views overlooking Zurich, the lake and the snow-capped Alps. This was a fabulous tour for an overview of the area! The tour is well-organized with a bit of flexibility. You get to experience several modes of transportation (walking/hiking, tram, funicular, bus, ferry, and cable car) to get incredible views of the area. Our tour guide Greg was very personable and very knowledgeable, and we all learned many interesting things about the city, history, and even Swiss culture and government. It is a longer tour (6 hours) but well worth the time and effort! We had a wide age range in our group (20s to 70s), and Greg set the pace to accommodate everyone. The interspersed rides (e.g., ferry) allow for some nice rest breaks, so you're certainly not on your feet for the whole time. Also, there are opportunities to get food and drink (lunch break, ferry, falsenegg). You don't get to go into any of churches or museums on this tour, but you learn which ones may be of interest for you to revisit/tour on your own time/schedule. Great experience!

Patricia, our tour guide, was excellent sharing information about Zürich and Switzerland. Although the weather was breezy, cool, and rainy, the conditions did not deter Patricia leading an excellent experience. Be prepared for a few tough hills in Old Town and throughout the tour. You will find the climbs to hold breath taking scenery of Zurich and the Swiss Alps.
