Our guide, Gordon, was knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible. He tailored the tours to our interests. Everything was well paced. We enjoyed magnificent scenery and learned a lot about the history of colonialism, apartheid and the new South Africa.

Our tour guide, G, was an amazing host that took us through the mountains and capes of Cape Town, South Africa. From the moment he introduced himself, we (our diverse party of nine), knew we were in great hands. G picked us up from the airport, driving through the beautiful streets while giving us the rich history of his city. On the first full day of our tour, he took us to Robben Island, and we were enlightened with the history of Nelson Mandela, other political prisoners, and freedom fighters. At Table Mountain, we saw heavenly views of the city from thousands of kilometers above sea level. On the second day of our tour we were driven along the Atlantic Seaboard, and ended at Table Mountain National Park (watch out for the baboons!). On the last day, we relaxed during our multi-stop wine tour and enjoyed some of the most delicious wines I've ever had. A drive through Cape Town City ended our stay, and we drove through the colorful streets admiring the murals painted across buildings. G was full of knowledge, wonderful recommendations, and smart traveler tips to make our trip the most amazing it could be. Throw in an unruly toddler, senior citizens and young people alike-- G made sure we needed for nothing while we were with him. G kept us safe, wonderfully fed (ask him about great places to eat on the VNA waterfront, or along the Atlantic Seaboard!), and constantly entertained. I plan on visiting Cape Town every year. And each time I do, I'll be requesting G and his amazing services.
