• A Fun Minoan Experience

  It was initially a 3D museum walkaroud, followed by a 9D cinematic experience which was very good. The cinematic experience lasted about 30 minutes and gave my wife and me a good general overview of Minoan history and culture. It was excellently presented and we enjoyed it very much.

  I was early and was the only visitor and especiall for me they showed the movie in my language. Very friendly staff here and the movie about the history was great.

  In short, this was an awful experience but one that will certainly stay with us! We booked this because it had good reviews. We do want to start by saying that both staff members we interacted with were very nice. However, the 3D Museum is a small room that does have some nice paintings with some slightly surreal mannequins. Where to begin with the cinema experience? The initial video seemed like a Cretian tourist board video, but gave no info about any of the places that came up, nor really sold the to us. The second video was a brief introduction to the experience, which wasn’t necessarily needed. The 15 minute Minoan video is a really interesting premise, but was sadly not delivered on. It covered key myths but the graphics were so bad that this was all we could focus on because it was humorous. The 9D element included random bursts of wind, bubbles and some low tech volcanic bursts. The final video was a rollercoaster, which seemed very random when added to the overall experience. The pure chaos meant that we don’t regret going, but we wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to visit.

  Don't do it 18 euros is far to much. 8 euros is more the price. You get soaked and it really belongs in the 00s.

  We had a rainy day in Chania so we booked tickets online (only let us book two at a time). It was a 30 minute experience and gave the history of the island, mythology and people.

  This was a fun and exciting experience. The guys there were very informative and the movie plus effects is exiting and fun in a way you don’t usually do things. Also interesting backstory about greek mythology.

  The Minion figures and wall murals were interesting, though basic in design and production values. The screen experience itself was good yet would probably have looked much more impressive when the facility first opened, such has been the advancement in graphics. Both staff members were extremely kind and polite. Underwhelming probably describes it best.

  This is a good activity for kids as the 9D movie is fun to experience. It is also a great activity to learn more about the Minoan civilization.
