What To Expect

Most tastings show you Ecuador’s food, this one lets you feel its soul. Hosted in a real Cuenca home, this experience blends storytelling, hospitality, and flavor in a way restaurants can’t. Every dish is personally selected by your local chef to represent a region, an ingredient, or a tradition that defines Ecuador’s identity. You’ll taste the country’s diversity without leaving the table, while learning how geography, people, and history shaped what’s on your plate. Small groups, open conversation, and laughter turn strangers into friends. And because it’s curated, not commercial, every moment feels genuine, warm, and made just for you. Our Five-Star Guarantee: if your experience it’s not five stars, you don’t pay for four.

Vanessa was a wonderful cook and great conversationalist! She was also very willing to share recipes. My favorite food was the highland ceviche and the espumilla!

Vanessa cooked some great food, and had excellent conversation! She's bilingual so Spanish or English works out either way! Come with an empty stomach or you won't be able to finish all the wonderful food!

Venessa did a wonderful job with many different dishes, both savory and sweet. It was a pleasure! We did not meet at the location indicated in the description but instead at her home- which surprised us.
