1.00The islands in Balabac are truly beautiful, but unfortunately the tour organization was disappointing. The tour was 4 days / 3 nights. Day 1 went as planned. On Day 2, our guide said no tours were possible due to coast guard restrictions, yet other groups staying at the same place left normally, which was very confusing. On Day 3, the planned island hopping only happened after we insisted several times, as the guide initially said we could not leave the island again. On the last day, we were told we could not leave Balabac Town due to weather conditions. About an hour later, we were offered an “alternative” boat for an extra 50€ per person. Because some people in our group had flights that day, we had no choice but to pay. Later we realized the “new” boat was exactly the same as the original one, and the sea was calm once we left the area. Overall, the islands are amazing, but the lack of transparency, poor communication, and unexpected extra cost made the experience stressful. Instead of choosing FundKit, I would recommend looking for other companies that offer the same tour without unnecessary stopovers in Balabac Town. These operators likely avoid extra costs and seem to be better organized and more experienced.
