Boundless plains punctuated with spiky acacia trees, Serengeti kopjes, hippo and crocodile-laden rivers, and a landscape home to the Big Five (lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalo, and elephants) and more than 475 bird species–it’s no wonder the Serengeti precedes its reputation as a wildlife haven.

The wooded knolls around Naabi Hill Gate mark the Serengeti’s official entrance, which then drops into the Park’s signature wide-open plains. Like no other, this stretch embodies the meaning of the word “Serengeti,” which derives from the Masai “Siringet” and has been artistically translated as “the land that flows on forever”. Serengeti National Park covers 6,000 square miles of pristine land and offers not only expansive vistas, but the largest migration of mammals on earth, including 1.5 million wildebeest.

  • Amazing 4-Day Safari Experience with Rehoboth Safaris

    owaten,,Nov 22, 2025

I did a 4-day camping private safari with Rehoboth Safaris, and the whole experience was amazing. On the first day after entering the Tarangire National Park, I saw many elephants and giraffes. The guide explained everything very well. On the way to Serengeti National Park, one after another beautiful scenes - wide plains, acacia trees and the wildlife moving in front - everything was like a picture. In Serengeti, we saw Lion Pride, Leopard and many Buffaloes. The highlight of the tour was the Ngorongoro Crater on the last day. The landscape and wildlife inside the crater is magical. In the afternoon we could see up to the Rhino, which was really memorable.

This 4 day safari was much better than we expected. Serengeti National Park is as famous as it is marvellous - the infinite grasslands, acacia trees and the movement of animals around have filled the heart. We were lucky to see the Big Five - lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, and elephant! The elephant herd of Tarangire, the lions of Serengeti and the panoramic view of Ngorongoro Crater - each place was a different experience. The camps were clean, the food was great, and the whole team was very caring.

I did Serengeti/Ngorongoro safari with Godfrey and the whole trip was amazing!!!!!!He is an excellent guide but also a very kind and friendly person, he was always asking if everybody was ok, if we wanted to stay longer to watch animals or if it was fine for us to leave. He was incredible in spotting animals: he was able to recognize them from far away. Also, he was driving off road to get closer to animals and he made sure that we saw as many as possible. Godfrey has huge knowledge about different species, and he was answering all our questions, even the silly ones. There was also time for jokes, we were laughing a lot! The food was good, and everything was well organized. Thank you, Godfrey, this safari was an unforgettable experience!!!!!

Our experience with Godfrey was awesome! He tried his best to offer the best experience and he achieved it! We slept at the campside and ate the delicious food that Meshak (the chef) cooked every day for us. We saw the big five! They both are very respectful to the environment and the animals and gave to us a lot of information about all the species we met at the trip! He knows perfectly what he is talking about! Godfrey is an excellent guide and Jeep driver! And he is always looking for providing a safe and amazing atmosphere. We trusted him from the very beggining of our tour! Totally recommended!

Gori organized our Safari for us and it was amazing!!!! He explained everything perfectly to us, he showed us where all the animals were (and we were amazed at how he had seen it, without a doubt the eyesight of a lynx), he taught us Swahili and songs, he prepared typical and Western food for us... I could say endless good things about him because he was a 10 out of 10. If I had to repeat the experience I would definitely do it with him!!!

To say it was one of the most exciting trips we've ever taken. We were 4 friends on safari, all organized by our guide, Godfrey, the best Gia you can have, also spoke Spanish perfectly, explained everything we should know about the animals, got us to see all the animals, even the rhino that is very difficult to see, but knew where to find him. And best of all, I take care of us as if we were friends forever and made our days in Tanzania unbeatable. If we repeat, we would definitely put ourselves back in your hands! A 10 as a guide and as a person! Recommended 100% Hakuna matata Godfrey!!!
