We are Ella and Omar - from the UK and Morocco - and together we run unique tours around Morocco! Itran Travel is family run business born out of our love for Morocco and a desire to share this beautiful country with travelers looking to discover the real Morocco.

Departing and returning to Marrakech, this 4 day/3 night tour will take you through panoramic mountain roads to kasbahs, gorges, valleys and palm groves. The highlight of the trip will be spending the night beneath the stars in a traditional nomadic tent in the Sahara dunes.

Compared to a night tour, this option gives you a full day in the desert and more time to soak up the stunning landscape. We’d recommend this tour if you have more time available and really want to enjoy the desert at a slower pace.

  • So much more to Morocco

Our trip to through the High Atla to the Sahara was a wonderful experience. We had the best tour guide in Mubarak. His family is from the Sahara, and he continues to work with tours that explore this region and others. He is knowledgeable of so many aspects of Morocco, and so easy to speak to. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. The lodgings chosen for us were each unique and comfortable. We explored kasbah, museums, artisan shops along the way and ate very good Moroccan food! We are very blessed to have had the opportunity to see Morocco outside the cities and recommend it to everyone.

Excellent 4 days. Our guide Mubarak is the best, gave us so much info, answered all our questions, fun and helpful. Kasbah Tamsna in Oirzazate was amazing--food, rooms and staff all perfect. I loved the High Atlas drive, stops and views. Sahara was so interesting,.--camel ride, sunset, food, glamping, wish we could have gone deeper in and stayed longer. I loved Gorges and Dades, want to return. Feel like we missed some by being here during Ramadan. Mubarak is the best, so is Morocco.

Our driver, Mubarak, was a great driver, keeping us safe, on time, well fed, and he accommodated our many requests for bathroom stops. He also ran interference for us with aggressive vendors. As for the trip itself, wow. Our hotels were each unique, from boutique to desert glamping to a re-imagined kasbah. The camel trip was a highlight, and we learned so much about the culture from our hosts, guides, and driver that I can recommend this company without hesitation.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an outstanding experience with Itran Travel on our journey from Marrakech to Merzouga. The entire trip was perfectly organized, from the itinerary planning to the selection of accommodations and desert camp. Every stop along the way was thoughtfully chosen, allowing us to fully experience the landscapes, culture, and history of southern Morocco without feeling rushed. A special mention to our driver and guide, Hamid, who was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive throughout the trip. He made us feel safe, comfortable, and truly welcomed. Itran Travel delivers a high-quality, seamless, and memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Morocco with confidence and comfort.

We had an amazing 4 days. This trip’s itinerary and organising was perfect. Ella was so lovely and very responsive when we needed clarity and confirmation. What made the trip, was our driver/tour guide Hamed. REQUEST HAMED. He couldn’t do enough for us and knew so much with all the tips and tricks needed along the way. He made us feel so comfortable and has a great sense of humour. He is an amazing person. Hopefully our photos can say the rest 🫶

Me and my mum had an incredible time with our driver, Hamid, as we explored the more untouched parts of Morocco. The four days we had included really varied activities and we saw so much. The accommodation was lovely and we met some amazing people on the way. An unforgettable experience and such great value for money. Would 100000% recommend.

Where to start! We had a fantastic time from the beginning of our tour to the very end with Itran. Our trip was a five-day, four-night journey through Morocco, including a night in a dome tent, a camel ride, sandboarding, and a range of experiences that helped us truly appreciate the natural beauty and culture of the country. Our driver, Hamid, was incredibly knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to spend time with over the five days. By the end of the trip he felt like part of the group, striking the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy the experience. He even organised a picnic lunch of local food beside an isolated salt lake, which felt wonderfully private and special. As a member of the local community, Hamid’s connections meant the tour felt very personal and that we were genuinely well looked after. Just as importantly, he was punctual and a safe, confident driver throughout, which gave us real peace of mind. While I am sure the other drivers are excellent, I would definitely request Hamid again and will be recommending him to others. The tour itself was very well organised, with clear thought given to giving us a real flavour of Berber and Amazigh culture. The accommodation was high quality and provided lovely places to relax in beautiful surroundings. Everything felt local rather than part of a large chain, which made it feel good to know the tour was supporting local communities. They also handled our vegetarianism extremely well, which was particularly appreciated given this has been a challenge on previous trips to Morocco. Highlights - Seeing the desert at sunset - Upgrading to the dome tent for the desert stay - Kasbah Tamsna and Riad Serai, which were real treats - The tour of Ait Benhaddou with a local guide I would 100% trust Itran to handle another tour for me again and I would not hesitate to book with them in the future.

We recently returned from an amazing 5-day, 4-night private Sahara Desert tour with Itran Travel, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, everything ran incredibly smoothly. The Itinerary What we appreciated most was how well-customised the plan was. It felt perfectly balanced—we had plenty of sightseeing, but the driving times were reasonable, leaving us enough time for relaxation. It never felt rushed. Our Guide, Hamid A special mention must go to our guide, Hamid. He truly made the journey special. • Skill: He is highly experienced with touring Morocco and Desert and is a very skilled, safe driver (which is important on those winding roads!). • Personality: Hamid is energetic, fun, and full of surprises. His enthusiasm brought so much joy to the trip, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his guests' experience. We highly recommend Itran Travel (and Hamid!) to anyone looking for a memorable Sahara Desert adventure.

  • Not guide but family friend

Right from beginning when I contacted Ella she was very professional and spoke with integrity and honesty. She clearly told what was possible and what was not and offered several options which included not to go with them. However we decided that it was best to go with them as managing a trip with local knowledge is not easy. I think that was best decison we took. When we met Mohamed he was the most helpful, kind, considerate person. He understool our group requirements (belive me we are bit difficult bunch of 8 people with all the unique taste and minds). But this was no challenge for Mohamed he took us to all places with all the breaks we all needed and still covered all the touristic attractions and always with a smile. He became the best friend of my 6 year old daugter who would not go anywhere without him :) Honestly we became bit jealous ;). We are so grateful to Mohamed and team to support and make our trip so extra special and will definitely be using them. I think they are the best there is in Morocco! Mohamed: Thank you for everything. We will see you soon
