At Semuc Champey you will enjoy its natural turquoise pools. They are a paradise hidden in the jungle. You can swim, pipe the Cahabon River and explore the Kanba Caves.

You will explore Tikal, a unique archaeological site and one of the most important in the Mayan world. You can walk among ancient temples and pyramids, and enjoy the breathtaking view from Temple IV.

You will sail through Rio Dulce, past San Felipe Castle, Bird Island, the stunning canyon until you reach Livingston, a Garifuna village with a unique culture and beautiful beaches.

Antigua Guatemala to Semuc Champey

Antigua

We will start our adventure by picking you up at the agreed point in Antigua Guatemala or Guatemala City. We should start as early as possible to avoid the usual congestion of Guatemala City, be able to enjoy the stops along the way and be able to get to Semuc Champey in good time.

Coban

We will pass through the city of Cobán in the department of Alta Verapaz. The Verapaces area is a fascinating destination in Guatemala, full of charms and mysteries. During this part of the tour you will appreciate its lush landscapes, with green hills, waterfalls and crystal clear rivers. The wet and cool climate creates a perfect environment for nature. Coban is the heart of the Q'eqchi' people, and offers a rich cultural heritage. As for exploration and adventure, one of the best-known destinations in the region and the country is where we are headed, Semuc Champey, the Cahabón River and the Grottos de Lanquín. Due to its climate this region is ideal for high quality coffee plantations and the conservation of orchids, both in natural conditions and in nurseries

San Pedro Carcha

San Pedro Carchá is a municipality full of history and culture in the department of Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. San Pedro Carchá is known for its rich cultural heritage of the Q'eqchi' people, who have preserved their traditions, language and customs over the centuries. The village was founded in 1537. San Pedro Carchá is one of the largest producers of cardamom in the world, which has a significant impact on the national economy of Guatemala, during our tour you will be able to observe these plantations.

Semuc Champey

We will arrive at our destination for the day, Semuc Champey, I can assure you that it will be an unforgettable experience of the beauties that nature has for us. The stunning turquoise pools in the middle of the jungle, perfect for swimming and relaxing in its crystal clear waters. You can observe a unique natural phenomenon where the Cahabón River flows under a stone bridge, creating the pools on the surface. We will have time for a challenging but rewarding hike to the viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the pools.

Day 2

Semuc Champey to Isle of Flowers

After breakfast we will move to the entrance of the Kanba caves, where we will enter the depths of the earth and an underground river will guide us to walk these impressive vaults, pools and underground passageways. If someone in the group does not want to do this activity, you can choose between spending more time in Semuc Champey or enjoying nature on the hotel premises.

As you leave the caves, you can launch from a giant swing into the waters of the Cahabon River and then travel through the calm waters of the river floating in an inflatable tube.

Malecon Isla De Flores

We will move to the Isle of Flowers where we will stay overnight and you can enjoy the attractions of the Island. The island is in Peten Itza Lake, in the Peten Department, which is considered the heart of the Mayan world for the number and importance of archaeological sites in the area. on the island you can walk along its cobblestone streets, walk on the sea wall, observe the typical colonial architecture of the region, enjoy a moment in the different restaurants, bars and craft shops.

Tikal National Park

This is the cherry on the cake of this tour, without detracting from the relevance of the other places visited, this tour is ideal for those who want to know the most important tourist place in the region, Tikal. This is the most relevant archaeological site of Mayan culture that has been discovered and restored to date. Tikal is one of the most important and emblematic archaeological sites of the Mayan civilization, located in the department of Petén, Guatemala. This tur will start at 3 am leaving the hotel. we will arrive at Tikal Park even though it is dark and we will move along the paths in the middle of the jungle to the highest pyramid, where we can see the sunrise in the middle of leafy jungle. Once it has dawned, we will have time for breakfast and then we will walk the paths that will take us to the different squares and the main temples of this incredible Mayan city.

Rio Dulce and Livingston

We will start this tour at the hotel, where you will be picked up by a private boat that will transport us during this adventure. The first stop will be at San Felipe Castle, which has a historical and cultural magnetism that makes it a must-see. Built in the 17th century, it is a testament to the countless naval battles and protection against pirates in the Guatemalan Caribbean. You can explore its sturdy walls, moats, tunnels, dungeons and towers so that your imagination transports you in time.

Pruning you appreciate the small boats of fishermen and merchants that inhabit the banks and travel the river.
