Tarangire National Park
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Moshi/Arusha and driven to the first stop on your itinerary – Tarangire National Park. Known for its very large elephant population, you are likely to witness many herds during this game drive. As you drive around the seasonal swamps and savannahs surrounding the park’s famous Tarangire River (to which it owes its name) you will also come across many zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, hartebeests, giraffes and waterbucks. With a bit of luck, you may also encounter a rare (but not impossible!) sighting of lions stalking their prey or leopards lazily lying in the trees above. After your full afternoon game drive in Tarangire National Park, you will be driven to a nearby campsite, or lodge/permanent tented camp, where you will stay for the evening (depending on the accommodation plan you choose).
After the breakfast, you will pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will be able to see the breath-taking Ngorongoro Crater before travelling onwards to the Serengeti National Park. At around midday you will arrive at the Serengeti. The Serengeti is the largest park in Tanzania with a diversity of landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah and mountains. Here the biggest wildebeest and zebra migration takes place and depending on the season you may have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals on their search for fresher grasslands. After your game drive, you will be driven to a nearby campsite, or lodge/permanent tented camp, where you will stay for the evening.

What an incredible opportunity to see so many animals in their natural habitat. We did a four day safari tour through the Serengeti National Park, Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. Jackson and Mille were excellent guides with a wealth of knowledge. Mpolle’s ability to spot animals hiding in trees or off in the distance was very impressive. The lodges were clean, the staff were friendly and all three sites offered unique environments. Surreal experience to be lying in bed in the tent lodge hearing a water buffalo grazing right outside. (A little scary seeing that same water buffalo on our walk back to the tent from dinner.). Waking up to the glorious sunrise was always worth the early start. Thank you Kili Footprints, this package did not disappoint!

I always thought of myself as a non-safari person. After 3-day safari trip divided into 2 areas (1. Tarangire and Ngorongoro NP; and 2. Mkomazi NP) with the Kilifootprints, I have to confess that I can definitely be a safari person! The trip itineraries, accommodation and meal services were tailored to my interest and preferences as usual. To travel with the Kili is always like receiving your treat! Thank you again, guys!
