Mestia

We will meet at your hotel early at the morning and start our long and wondefull trip to Svaneti. During our trip we will pass three regions of Georgia wich makes this trip more memorible. Our first main stop will be at Enguri dam which is one of the highest arch dam in the world(a height of 271.5 metres). Then we drive to the region of Upper Svaneti which is an outstanding example of an exceptional mountain landscape composed of highly preserved villages with unique defensive tower houses, examples of ecclesiastical architecture and arts of medieval origin. After arriving to Mestia we will take you to the hotel to check in , give you some tome to relax and later we will take you Mestia city center for dinner if you wish. Overnight in Mestia

Have you ever seen where river borns ? At the second day we will start our tour by visiting Chalaadi glacier one of the most famous hikes in Mestia , Chalaadi glacier is most easy to reach glaciers in all of Georgia. Glacier located just 12 km from Mestia, is a glacial tongue about 6 kilometers long that begins on the slopes of the Ushba and Chatini massif. It descends along the gorge of the Chalaadi River into the gorge of the Mestiachala River. The first part of the hike to Chalaadi goes through a very beautiful mixed forest followed by a rocky path. When the forest ends, the trail goes to the bank of the Chalaadi River, which flows out from under the glacier. The last part of the path consists of walking on large moraine stones.

Mestia

After visiting Chaaladi glacier we will driver back to Mestia. Where we will take you to visit one the “Svan towers”. Svan Towers are the symbol of Svanetia. Nowhere in the world is there an analogue of these unique defensive structures of the early Middle Ages epoch wich were primarily built between the 9th and 12th centuries, during the Georgian Golden Age. Svan towers are the tower houses built as defensive dwellings , . The towers usually have 3-5 storeys and arround 25 meters high. After visiting tower you can have food in some local restaurants. At The end of our day we will take you back to your accommodation. Overnight in Mestia

Ushguli

At the third day of the morning you will depart by our car or local off road car to Ushguli located at the head of the Enguri gorge , recognized as the UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the highest continuously inhabited settlements in Europe with the outstanding mixture of mountainous landscape and the medieval-type towers and churches . Here you will abale to visit the Ushguli Ethnograpic museum located in the 12th century old Svanetian tower-house, "Love Tower". You can also visit a mediaval Lamaria church ( of the assumption of the Mother of God) and take unforgettable photos. Overnight in Mestia

Tbilisi

So this is last day of trip and time to drive back to Tbilisi , but do not worry about long way back because we have left some places for you , on the way back to Tbilisi we can visit Martvili Canyon place with lots of waterfalls and sky blue water where you have the opportunity to take a trip by boat and enjoy the beautiful views of canyon.
