This 4-day itinerary offers an unparalleled gorilla trekking and cultural experience in Uganda. You'll have the opportunity to track the endangered Mountain gorillas in the Bwindi Forest.
One of the highlights of the trip will be visiting the Batwa community, a hunter-gatherer forest tribe, in Bwindi Forest. You will get a unique chance to experience their culture, songs, dances, and history. The trip also includes dining on local cuisines as you get first-hand contact with local communities.
You will also visit the Biharwe Eclipse and the Equator monuments, and the royal drum makers of Buganda Kingdom, where you'll learn about the history and culture of these fascinating places.

On our way to Bwindi we shall have a stop at Mpambire Royal Drum makers, you will see how different kinds of drums are made and what they are used for. In Uganda cultures different types of drums play different roles.
Green Equator Masaka Rd
Our second stop will be at Equator crossing line. This is an imaginary line that divides the Northern hemisphere from the Southern hemisphere. Ever imagined putting your one leg in the South and the other leg in the Northern hemisphere? this is will be your day. Apart from taking pictures and enjoying the scenery here, we shall also be taking a coffee break.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, we will head to the park headquarters to receive a gorilla briefing to prepare you for the exciting day ahead. Depending on the location of the gorillas, one may walk a short two hours or up to eight hours in the mountains. No matter how long it takes, the journey will be worth it when your reward is seeing these amazing mammals up close. Afterwards, we return to Ihamba Residence for dinner and an overnight stay.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community – a pygmy community that once inhabited the Bwindi forest but were relocated to the fringes of the forest to pave way for gorilla conservation. · Experience the Batwa culture where you’ll learn about their forest gathering, hunting, and fire-making skills. Have Batwa performances and a chance to interact with them. · Head back to your lodge. · Spend the rest of the evening at your lodge warming by the fireplace, and reminiscing about the gorilla

After breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala stopping for lunch at Igongo cultural center in Mbarara city.
