Visit Thian Hock Keng, Singapore’s oldest Chinese temple, famous for its vibrant carvings and rich history. Just outside, discover the colorful Chinatown Wall Mural depicting scenes of old Singapore, from bustling markets to everyday life, with fascinating stories hidden in every detail.
Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum
Step inside the grand Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, a striking four-story landmark inspired by Tang dynasty architecture. Explore its richly decorated halls, golden Buddha statues, and the sacred relic said to be the tooth of the Buddha himself. We also visit the serene rooftop garden and giant prayer wheel, where you can pause for a moment of reflection above the bustle of Chinatown.

5.00Our trip was very enjoyable. The guide, Jolynn (not Roberto), managed to give us a smooth itinerary. Whenever we felt a little tired, we would got at a resting point just in time, and we could drink iced water in the shade while listening to Jolynn's introduction of the surrounding area. Her explanations were clear and vivid, showcasing the hard lives of early Chinese, Indian and Malay immigrants. What touched me most was the moment when she led us past the shophouse where her expanded family of three generations used to rent a room within, now it is a bustling tourist area. This kind of firsthand experience is something that outsiders can never provide. My friends and I both felt that the two-hour guided tour was truly worthwhile.
