Kathmandu is one of the oldest cities in Nepal and home to many of the cultural heritage. This tour takes you to the well-known world heritage sites inside the valley. Kathmandu Day Tour takes a day to complete and offers insight on the history and culture of Kathmandu.

The morning after breakfast, you prepare for the tour and carry the necessary stuff. You leave the hotel with a guide at around 9 am and head to Swayambhunath, the Monkey Temple. It offers a grand insight into the Buddhist art and culture. Further, you head to Pashupatinath which is one of the holiest temples of Hindus and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Furthermore, you drive to Boudhanath which is another Buddhist pilgrimage site. The stupa area boasts a remarkable display of modern amenities and Buddhist heritage. Lastly, you visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and stroll around the palace courtyards. Here, you enjoy the art and architecture of medieval Kathmandu. Lastly, you drive back to the hotel and end the tour.

During the Kathmandu valley day tour, one can visit the Pashupatinath “The crematory place of Hindus” Boudhanath Stupa “ Largest Buddhist stupa of Asia”, Kathmandu Durbar Square “Historical and ancient palace” and Swoyambhunath “The Monkey Temple”.

Hi all! I've done this tour on my first day of my journey in nepal. The guide was fun and showed interest in what he explained. He is very knowledgeble and makes you interested in the subject. He told many things we did not know about history and culture of Nepal. I recommend this tour.

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Bhagwat , our names were mentioned upon arrival, and we felt welcomed and with such a friendly atmosphere we had a fantastic start! The guide and tour was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that he deserves a special thanks. We had four great days there, which obviously also added up to the experience. Badry is such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!). I truly enjoyed walking the four of us through the area. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The natural on the end was a great way to end the tour. The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to all of us. All respect for Badry who does a great job there; a true sample of excellent tour guide! Many thanks again and I recommend Himalayan Adventure to everyone! Date of experience: September 2019

Enjoyed this trip, though it was a work trip but took one day out for city sight seeing. Historically beautiful Nepal would like to visit again.
