What To Expect

751年（景徳王10年）に金大成によって創建された新羅王朝を代表する寺院である。しかし、『仏国寺高坤長紀』には、「伊茶曇が殉教した翌年、528年（鳳凰王の在位15年）、鳳凰王の母の英済夫人と義雲夫人がこの寺を創建し、尼となった」とあります。仏国寺は新羅人が憧れた仏教の地であり、理想的な平和の世界である。新羅人の仏国土に対する欲望は、ここでは3つの側面から表現されている。一つは法華経に基づく釈迦牟尼仏のサハ世界、もう一つは無限寿経に基づく阿弥陀仏の極楽浄土、もう一つは阿弥陀仏経に基づく金剛界である。これら3つは、大邱鄭を中心とする区間、鄭那亭を中心とする別の区間、美魯鄭を中心とする区間の全体構成を通じて、それぞれ独自の表現がなされている。

Gyeongju National Museum

慶州国立博物館は、新羅の文化遺産を包括的に見ることができる韓国屈指の博物館です。ここでは、紀元前57年から紀元後935年まで続いた新羅王国の凝縮された歴史を探索することができます。注目すべきは、1500年前に作られた本物の新羅黄金冠です。慶州を訪れると、史跡を探索する前の最初の立ち寄り先として、体験がより充実します。新羅の歴史的な流れや華麗な芸術文化、遺物を目の当たりにすることができます。屋外展示場では、梵鐘、石塔、石仏、石灯籠、石台座など1,300点以上の石器を展示。

Even booking the tour last minute we were treated to an outstanding experience. It was great to get picked up & dropped off directly at our apartment. Our guide & driver JY made sure that we would see all that we had planned, and more on that busy day. He has a great network of locals, getting us into unexpected placed and sights. Having no prior knowledge about what we would visit, JY gave some good intros and picked out the relevant stuff.

Very good guide. He uses A.I. to translate into Spanish but strives to make himself understood. Very good choice given the shortage of guides in Spanish.

Our host and tour guide JY was just fantastic, starting with the pick-up at the cruise terminal and then taking us to The UNESCO world heritage sites and Busan - including some hidden spots. We also enjoyed the real local Korean food and beer. Very interesting history, culture and city life. Thank You JY for such a great day, and also the flexibility on accomodating our wishes. We loved it!

For anyone interested in Korean history, this tour is the perfect fit for you. Our guide, Jang, is knowledgeable and explained the history behind every site we went to. He was also very accommodating and was able to take us to a cafe owned by Jimin’s dad of BTS. Jang knew all of the ins and outs, which made for a very efficient tour. He also took all of our photos so that was one less thing to worry about. He also knew the best photo spots!

The tour was outstanding! Difficult to do Gyeongju and Busan in 1 day but Jung managed to do it! As a local he’s a very good driver, very engaging, very accommodating and very knowledgeable! Saw the places we wanted to see and a few hidden gems that Jung took us to that we would not have known. The Korean barbecue lunch was a great experience! Would highly recommend!
