Citi and her driver were really nice, great company and knew a lot about the sites we visited. Great views from the Buddhist Temple, a lovely peaceful place to visit as was Agnes Keith House. Citi took us through the orderly but busy Central Markets pointing out the various unique produce and how they are used in cooking before moving on to the Sim-Sim water Village which was an interesting experience too. Highly recommend Citi as your guide.

The sights of Sandakan are diverse and quite spread out and mostly situated outside the town perimeter, so this tour is a great way to see the main points of interest without too much effort. Our guide Sam was terrific. He is knowledgeable and friendly, very patient and happy to go at the pace of the participants, and flexible with the itinerary to try and ensure that his guests have a good time and an enjoyable tour. He has strong local knowledge and was keen to showcase Sandakan and provided a great overview of things to see and do. We had flight changes which could have impacted on our tour, however Sam was more than happy to accommodate us and pick us up from the airport instead of our hotel.

My wife and I had a lovely afternoon with Sita travelling around some of the sites in Sandakan including the Chinese Temple, WW2 Memorial, Agnes Newton Keith House and the floating market. We really enjoyed the afternoon and Sita was very charming and informative so it was really pleasant afternoon. We had some time to kill before we head out to the Kinabatangan River the next day and it surpassed by expectations and I would certainly recommend.

A really great time out with guide Abraham and driver Izzab. Visited local markets, city villages and Agnes Keith house. The two lads were very supportive, fun to be with and made the 1/2 day tour memorable. Finished with a really enjoyable lunch at local restaurant. I highly recommend this tour .

FAIZHAR, my Tour Guide, was INCREDIBLE!! Being a lifetime resident of Sandakan, he knew EVERYTHING - the inside scoop - on each historical stop we made during this AMAZING 1/2 day tour. Faizhar brought this Tour TO LIFE!! I'd never heard of Sandakan and knew absolutely nothing about the WWII Japanese POW camp that detained 2700+ Australian/English POW's, with only 6 surviving the POW camp death marches at the end of WWII through the jungles of Sabah. WOW!! Agnes Keith?? Had never heard of her but another WOW!!! Being given a private, insider's tour with personal perspective of the Sim-Sim Water Village, where FAIZHAR was born and raised, was eye-opening, humbling and very historic. The Buddhist Temple overlooking Sandakan, all beautifully decorated for the Chinese New Year, the Central Market tour, having lunch with Faizhar at one of his local eatery hangouts, and his willingness to answer EVERY question I had about Sandakan and every stop we made is a travel experience I will NEVER forget!! Please! Take this tour and ask for FAIZHAR. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY!!!

Our guide Siti (not sure of spelling) was brilliant, kind and particularly knowledgeable. My husband is a very picky eater, but she had plenty of suggestions come lunchtime. Our driver was very good too. I cannot fault anything about our tour, we were amazed.
