What To Expect
Miradouros Do Paredao
Scenic drive up to the centre of the island and wonderful viewpoint where you will be able to see famous Nun's Valley from the top.
Pico do Arieiro
Pico do Areeiro, the third-highest point on the island of Madeira, is located at an altitude of 1,818 metres. From this elevated spot, the ample view allows observers to extend their gaze over the unique grandeurs of Madeira's Mountainous Massif, with the Atlantic Ocean in the background. Besides the wide view over the central mountain range, from Pico do Areeiro you can also see Ponta de São Lourenço, Curral das Freiras and, on clear days, the island of Porto Santo.

5.00Take comfortable warm clothes as weather can be unpredictable. The off reading part is quite rough but fun.

5.00I could write all day about just how fantastic this trip was From the initial welcome handshake of our tour guide Ricardo (who is 3rd generation guide) the tone was set for a fantastic days experience He was the ‘most’ informative guide we have ever had and we do a lot of tours - he was patient- knowledgeable- interesting and interested- funny- and just knew the island so well he knew every bump and route so well The whole experience was just mind blowing - the heights we drove to- the views- the plants- the local history- the rum factory experience - the mountains- the beaches - just fantastic The only disappointment we could think of was that we didn’t want it to end - We would 100% highly recommend this company and this tour So looking forward to returning and doing the west coast side tour

5.00I highly recommend this tour of the east and northeast of Madeira, particularly with this company. Our guide was really friendly, very knowledgable and took us to see many highlights on this side of the island. It’s definitely worth paying the slightly higher cost to tour in 4x4 jeep with a local guide and to experience off-roading along the old roads of the island. Superb knowledge. We travelled with the same company on a different day, again 4x4 to see the west and northwest of Madeira. This is a beautiful island with stunning scenery and it’s definitely worth choosing both tours to see the diversity of the landscape and learn so much about the history of the island.

5.00Another lovely day out with João to a variety landscapes. We particularly liked the Nun's Valley, the Levada walk and the off-road sections of the trip. We also ended up in the midst of a festival in Santana which was lovely. As before João was a good driver and a wonderfully knowledgeable guide.

5.00Extremely knowledgeable & experienced guide, Ricardo, showed us the best of the North & West of Madeira. The Landrover Defender was comfortable & spotless & needed for the some of the tracks you are taken on. Definitely a trip not to miss. You get to experience the beauty of the island with a guide who shares his passion for nature & Madeira. The tour was definitely a highlight of our holiday. Thank you.

5.00Wonderful day, so wished we had done this tour on previous holidays to Madeira! Ricardo is an excellent guide, so friendly and informative! We learnt so much more about this beautiful island! His passion for Madeira was very evident and ensured the day was tailored to our wishes! The places we went to off the beaten track, in a fab Land-rover Discovery was amazing, where routine tours do not take you! Thank you Ricardo, we wish you every success! We can't wait to do the West tour when we return again Highly recommend and excellent value for money with tour starting at 9am and returning 7pm .. memories to cherish forever!
