What To Expect
Camara De Lobos
Câmara de Lobos, located on Madeira's south coast, was the first place inhabited by João Gonçalves Zarco, the navigator who discovered this 'pearl of the Atlantic'. The municipality stands out for its centuries-old fishing tradition.
Cabo Girao
One of Madeira top viewpoints, Cabo Girão skywalk, one of the highest sea cliffs in the World with 580m The Cabo Girão viewpoint offers a unique perspective over the cities of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal: an urban scenery framed by a natural amphitheatre facing south. In the background, it is possible to see Fajã do Rancho and Fajã do Cabo Girão, which stand out for the small areas of cultivated land at the foot of the cliffs.

5.00Ricardo was our guide and driver for the day. My friend and myself were the only participants on this trip. Ricardo is so very knowledgeable about the Island and gave us so much information which we gladly soaked up. He is also very familiar with the old original roads in the Island and we used some of these wonderful roads during the day. They were very interesting and great fun. Ricardo stopped at so many different places not always villages or sights but sometimes on the side of the road to point out fruit and how it is grown. Vegetables, how the people of Madeira farm the land of precarious ledges and grow their fantastic fresh food. How they grow several foods on the same piece of land together. It was all very fascinating for us. We had a fantastic day. Saw so many wonderful views and sights. Learned so much from Ricardo about the Island and the people. We were dropped off tired and very very happy! We will be back Ricardo!

5.00This tour is so worth it! The drive felt safe but was so much fun, we learned so much about this side of the island. Plenty of the stops have washrooms, so don't worry about that. You'll stop at amazing view points, towns, and forests. You'll take new roles and old roads, and you'll experience so many amazing sights. This was the best day of our entire vacation. Thank you, Ricardo!

5.00It was really one of the best shore excursions that we did! We were picked up by João, on time and in a very comfortable 4x4 vehicle. He made sure that everybody had a good time, interacted with everybody and made everybody laugh. The groupsize was very good, just a small group of 5, so it was great and felt like a private tour. I would recoomend this excursion for everybody who wants to see Madeira, and then not all the touristy places, but the real deal. And book with this company! They are the best in the game.

5.00We’re huge fans of Nature Connection. We had an amazing day exploring the north and northwest parts of the island with Ricardo, and it was clear from the start that we had a great connection. We chatted and laughed like old friends, and it was that human touch that really made this tour special. We had a perfect day, learning so much about the history, geology, forestry, social, economic, and political aspects of Madeira. Ricardo’s friendly nature and vast knowledge made all the difference.
