This tour offers the most complete experience for those who want to discover Ios in depth.
We begin with a visit to Skarkos, one of the best-preserved Bronze Age settlements in the Cyclades, where you’ll learn about early Aegean civilization.
Then, we cycle across beautiful inland landscapes to the Tomb of Homer, the legendary resting place of the great poet, surrounded by breathtaking views.
Our final stop is Diaseli Cheesery, a family-run farm where we’ll taste fresh, handmade local cheeses and hear stories of Ios’s rural traditions.
Throughout the journey, you’ll enjoy quiet paths, expansive views, and the scent of fig trees and wild herbs.
Led by guides who have written about the island’s history and culture, this tour offers a deep, immersive experience that combines archaeology, mythology, gastronomy, and nature — all effortlessly explored on an electric bike.

What an awesome way to spend a day. George was so knowledgeable, passionate and interesting I couldn’t imagine coming to Ios and not meeting him. We were out in the hottest part of summer, George was in contact two days before our tour encouraging us to drink water and bring sunscreen. We under estimated the hills (mountains of Ios) but with generally decent fitness it’s all achievable just take breaks where you need. The photos and more importantly the map of our adventure are such wonderful reminders of our trip. We’ve done 10+ bike tours and while it’s one of the most challenging it was on the best bikes and so much preparedness. George’s philanthropy and perspective on Greek lifestyle and life in Ios were wonderful glimpses into life here and the stops at his and his wives gardens were wonderful. Olives, grapes and even fig picking on our trip. If you like to be active recommend you book and enjoy the rest of the lifestyle here after a good workout. Would book again on another visit.
