We visited the Valley of the Kings and climbed down into the tombs which was thrilling. We also went to the Temple of Horus at Edfu which is massive and so well preserved.The ship was comfortable and we had a great time hanging out in the bar at night sharing stories about our day. The atmosphere on board was lively and social. The staff were fun and friendly and even taught us a few words in Arabic. The crowd had a good energy with lots of people our age. The length of visit at each site was good we had time to explore and take plenty of pictures. The best part was the optional hot air balloon ride over Luxor that we added on. Seeing the temples and the river from the air at sunrise was unforgettable. The admission fee for the cruise was reasonable and the extras were worth it. This trip was the perfect mix of history culture and adventure for a group of friends looking for something different.
