Airport service counter no people there, need to call for arrangements First couple days tour in Jasper are the best. We very enjoy the arrangements. Luckily we have best tour guide, professional manners, taking care every customer every stops we been. Very appreciated his service. (Patrick) Following that two days day trip not as lucky. Day 3 tours guide very knowledgeable, by listening the history and geography around Banff is quite enjoyable.(Joseph) Unfortunately, last day we have a tour guide who seem not enjoy to work as tour guide (HH), she introduced every stops by reading cheat sheet, not given instructions where towards the place we should visit. Fortunately bus driver Joe did it for her few times. If we had her to start with our trip I will definitely given one star for the company review. The other two tour guide and drivers are very friendly with professional manners.

This was my first time joining a 5-day tour to Banff, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the breathtaking natural scenery to the well-organized itinerary, every moment was enjoyable and enriching. I would especially like to thank our tour guides Kan, Geoff, and Helena from Westar Travel. Their professionalism, responsibility, and deep knowledge of the local culture and attractions made this trip not only smooth but also highly educational. Thanks to their efforts, we were able to fully appreciate the beauty of the Canadian Rockies while learning so much along the way. I’m very grateful for their dedication and guidance throughout the journey. This trip was an unforgettable memory, and I look forward to traveling with Westar again in the future!

Much to my dismay I had to cancel our tour,I called Chris and ask if there were anyway we could be refunded the tour cost and/or the pre-night and post night at the Best Western, she said probably not a refund on tour but we should be able to get our pre and post night stay refunded, she would find out. I waited 2 days and tried to call her back but she couldn’t come to the phone. So I talked with Jimmy and ask him the same questions and added that if I can’t get my money back, I have 2 friends wanted to to take our place, could we transfer our tour. He said he would ask and call me back. I waited 2 more days , then called Jimmy back and he said no to refund , no pre and post nights, and no to transfers. I ask why no transfers, he said hotels had our names and couldn’t be changed. I did call BW to check and they said we weren’t registered.

Highly recommended! I would definitely choose this tour again—it was incredibly convenient and allowed us to see so many attractions over just 5 days. Everything was well-organized and ran on time. Our tour guides and drivers were fantastic—shoutout to Stella, Daryl, and Simon! You were all so knowledgeable and engaging. Larry, our bus driver, was also wonderful! The hotels selected for the tour were excellent as well. Please note: a mandatory tip of $15 CAD per person, per day, is collected at the end of each day.

We're on our day 4 tour with Westar Travel Ltd. So far so good. We are enjoying the trip and the itinerary they have planned. Shelley is our excellent tour guide who's been informing us about everything he knows of the places we went. And our driver is excellent as well. Looking forward to our next trip with them in the future.

  • Guide shelly bad review, room bad review on day three

    ariely575,Jun 30, 2025

    - Review from Tripadvisor

    1.00

Give lightning protection to Chinese friends, never avoid the English name shelly guide, not only business ability generally has a lot of confusing operation and even makes people feel discriminatory. morning time before the plate to rush people, made people uncomfortable, even before the toilet was rushed into the car, as a result of the car after waiting 15 minutes without saying. There was a lot of talk but no logic in the car, and there were always some unfounded gossip stories, but the actual assembly time couldn't be communicated clearly enough without repeating the confirmation ourselves. Once the assembly place wasn't told, we tried to get someone to confirm the call 20 minutes in advance and couldn't get through, and the text message asked for half a day without asking where the specific car was parked. Yes, we couldn't even tell where the on-call car was. We waited half a day at the drop-off place without seeing the group, only to learn later that the tour guide with the talking tourists somehow got into the car on which road, did not see anyone near the bottom who was also in the group, we searched the drop-off place, roadside and parking lot. Finally, it was only by the other groups of wasstar that we found the bus she was in charge of, and after getting on the bus, she was told by shelly Yinyang that she was wasting someone else's time. Strongly suspecting that the tour guide spent half of his time sleepwalking the other half of the time focusing only on tourists with certain characteristics. The hotel at night was awful, there were no airy windows, the windows were clear to the people at the front desk who were checking in, the room was small and poorly soundproofed, it was the worst hotel in days, Shelly said the room was bad but there was free breakfast, but came in and found it very, very bad 👎

It was a great experience first time exploring Banff with Westar, particularly led by two professional tour guides, Lisa Rong and Joseph Mao. Lisa is a very organized, attentive and detail-oriented problem solver of the team. She planned out our schedule accordingly for each family to make sure our tour through Baff flows smoothly. Joseph is passionate and knowledgeable storyteller. He can provide you all interesting stories and theories of each landscape and wildlife encountered in Jasper. Overall I highly recommend this package, particularly with Lisa and Joseph who will make your experience extraordinary.

This five-day tour of Banff was a great pleasure, thanks in particular to our guide Lisa Rong, who was professional, attentive and enthusiastic throughout. Along the way, not only was it well organized, but also shared a lot of knowledge about Canadian history, geography, and humanities. It was fun and humorous, and the atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant. Also often help everyone take photos, remind the weather and dress, recommend reliable restaurants and precautions, really like a good guide, five stars recommend! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🟌🌟🌟🟌🟟
