Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, on the way to Serengeti, you will pass by the Ngorongoro highland and enjoy the crater view before heading to your destination. Serengeti originates from the Maasai word "Siringitu" and means "endless plains". You will see why the Maasai gave this region this name as the grassland savannah stretches to the horizon in the south and is only interrupted by the so-called kopjes. These kopjes are bizarre rock formations formed by the weathering of granite outcrops. The plains are the perfect hunting grounds for leopards and other big cats. You will have a good chance to view these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat through the open roof of the vehicle. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a meal and later arrive at your destination for the day. You will head to your lodge for the night and enjoy a good dinner in the middle of the African bush.

Jefftar was our guide and driver, and we felt completely safe and secure with him throughout the entire trip. He is extremely experienced — we saw all of the Big Five within the first three days, and he often stayed out with us until sunset to help us spot more wildlife. We felt very lucky to have had him guiding us. There had been heavy rain recently and many vehicles got stuck in the mud, with one even overturning, but we remained safe the whole time thanks to his careful driving and constant focus. He checked the vehicle thoroughly before every departure, and one morning even went for servicing at 6 a.m. to ensure everything would run smoothly. He also maintained the jeep at an impressively high hygiene standard despite the muddy season. Every day the in-car mats were cleaned thoroughly, and he even washed the jeep to keep the windows clear so we could properly spot animals — something we really appreciated. What touched us most was his kindness and humanity. He gently asked whether we would be happy for our untouched lunch box to be shared with people working in the park who had no food. That moment really showed us his character. Another lovely surprise was when we casually mentioned we hadn’t had any pork during the trip out of curiosity — Jefftar spoke with the camp chef, and that evening we were served fried pork for dinner! We feel incredibly fortunate to have had Jefftar as our guide — he is truly exceptional. A big thank you as well to our trip planner Mercy for organising everything so seamlessly and giving us such an unforgettable experience.

We had booked the 5-day budget group safari to visit Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire successively. Our contact was Allan Job. It was nice that Allen always responded quickly to all our questions. Booking was very easy and it was nice that Allen continued to respond quickly to our questions even after booking. That gave a familiar feeling and confirmed that we had made a good choice with Nkollo Tours. Excellent price quality. Fortunately we had read the reviews about the first campsite so we had prepared for it by bringing our own toilet paper, damp washcloths and towels. The second campsite was much better. There was toilet paper and even we had the best shower there during our entire holiday. We were going to start with Manyara and end with Tarangire, but that was switched. If you started with Manyara it was a nice build up to the rest of the parks. To visit the last park we found it a bit of mustard after the meal, especially since we have seen few birds. Our guide was Ricky Balletto and he was very nice to deal with, despite his young age had a lot of experience and knew a lot to tell and also did everything to make us feel at home. Good for us was that we did the entire tour with him. Some of the smaller details were different like the lack of binoculars, but fortunately we also had them with us. Hakuna Matata. We enjoyed it and it was an unforgettable trip for us.

Our safari in Tanzania was so much more than a trip – it was a deeply moving experience that fascinated us, touched us emotionally, and will stay with us forever. Even now, we look back on these days with gratitude, awe, and a big smile on our faces. The 5-day safari through Tarangire, Serengeti, Ndutu, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara was absolutely breathtaking. Each park had its own unique character and beauty. Seeing these incredible animals in their natural habitat – free, wild and unfiltered – was something words can hardly describe. Every game drive felt special, every sighting like a gift. It was raw, real and unbelievably beautiful. But one of the most special parts of this journey has a name: Richard. Our guide was truly exceptional. His warm personality, great sense of humor and incredibly extensive knowledge about wildlife, nature and Tanzania made this safari extraordinary. You could feel his deep love for his job in every single moment – and that passion was absolutely contagious. We laughed a lot, learned so much and felt completely taken care of the entire time. When our luggage did not arrive upon arrival, Richard immediately took responsibility for the situation and helped us in the most supportive and caring way imaginable. He stayed calm, reassured us and did everything he could to assist us – far beyond what one could expect. We are incredibly grateful for that. When our time together came to an end, we were honestly very sad. Saying goodbye to Richard was not easy at all. In such a short time, you really grow close – and that connection, along with these memories, will stay with us forever. The organization Nkollo Safari Tours also deserves the highest praise. From the very beginning, communication was excellent. Mercy was absolutely outstanding – always reachable, incredibly kind and attentive. She regularly checked in with us, asked how we were doing, if everything was okay, and took care of any concerns we had. You don’t feel like a customer – you feel genuinely cared for. The accommodations were mostly fantastic. The first hotel, Njiro Climax, wasn’t entirely to our taste, but that is probably a matter of personal preference. Eileen’s Trees Inn was wonderful – delicious food, extremely friendly and attentive staff, beautiful and clean rooms, and a lovely property overall. The overnight stays in the camps inside the national parks were an absolutely unforgettable experience. Both Tukaone Hembe Camp and Safari Haven Migration Camp completely exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, the food was excellent, and sleeping in these unique tents in the middle of nature was simply magical. We never expected to enjoy it this much – it was authentic, peaceful and truly special. Our final night at Njiro Legacy was also a great experience and a perfect way to end the trip. The 6th day, including the Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour, and hot springs, was beautiful and very interesting. Looking back, however, we would personally recommend doing this tour at the beginning of the trip. After the intense and unforgettable safari experiences, we almost wished we had added another safari day instead. The hot springs themselves are visually stunning, but the atmosphere there felt a bit uncomfortable at times, as we felt watched and frequently approached. Perhaps we were just unlucky that day – but we wanted to mention it honestly. The Maasai village visit is something we personally would not book again. While the people were friendly and you do get a small insight into their culture, our group was intentionally separated during the visit, and the sales pressure afterward felt uncomfortable and unauthentic. The aggressive selling and the way money was handled left us with a strange feeling. For us, it is not a must-do if we were to give recommendations. That being said, none of this takes away from the safari itself. The safari days were absolutely once-in-a-lifetime experiences. The wildlife, the landscapes, the emotions, the laughter – these memories will stay with us forever. A heartfelt thank you to Richard, Mercy, and Nkollo Safari Tours for creating a journey that we will carry in our hearts for the rest of our lives. If you are considering a safari in Tanzania: book it – and book it exactly like this.

Wow, just wow! What a lifetime experience. The drive, the landscapes, the wildlife! We are a family of 3 , parents and 21yo son. Our driver Vincent knew the answer to every question, could identify every plant and animal and knows the trails like the back of his hand. We saw everything on our wish list thanks to his expertise. How he drives for so many hours a day, so safe, and so cheerful, is amazing. The lodges were a great expertise too, each one different - the tented Lodge was my favourite. This was not only a dream trip, but one of the most educational expeditions I've ever done, everyday a new adventure and different habitat - thanks again to the wonderful Vincent !

We arrived at Arusha’s Airport and our fantastic guide, named Ringo, picked us up to start our adventure. We saw Lake Manyara NP, Ngorongoro NP, Serengeti NP and Tarangire NP. The parks were absolutely fantastic, in particular Serengeti and Ngorongoro where Ringo skillfully managed to find all the “big 5”, as well as many more species. The accommodations were beautiful, in particular Moyo Tended Camp, immersed in wild nature. Our guide Ringo was so kind and very careful to make us feel comfortable and happy during our journey. Thanks a lot! Matteo & Rebecca

Incredibly beautiful experience in Tanzania's national parks. Everything was perfectly organized by the local organizer and the reliability was better than in many places in Europe. Highly recommended.

We had the adventure of a lifetime with our family and friends, exploring four wonderful parks: Serengeti, Tarangire, Manyara, and Ngorongoro Crater. Joseph, our guide, expertly navigated the sometimes rough roads and tracks, ensuring our comfort. He had an exceptional talent for finding the best wildlife photo opportunities and planning ahead to avoid overcrowded areas. The accommodations, guest services, and meals were absolutely perfect, and the hospitality staff exceeded our expectations with their warm and helpful nature. The wildlife viewing was superb, featuring some unbelievable close-up encounters. From the initial inquiry to the final drop-off at the airport, the service was outstanding and offered great value for money. I highly recommend Nkollotours. Allan and his team demonstrated excellent organizational skills, and Joseph’s patience and guidance were top-class all around!
