We will make sure you enjoy each tribe as much as you want. In the brief program below, you will be visiting at least 4 different tribes: Mursi, Hammer, Karo, Dassanech. We will also try to take you to Banna and Ari, but it depends on the time and days you arrive.
Market includes Key’Afer and Demekka: you will visit all markets possible during the tour. Ceremonies, we cannot guarantee you a Bull-jumping festival because it depends on their program: usually it happens and you need to be a little lucky to see it so we do not include that in the price.

If you are a woman adventurous enough to explore the magnificent tribes of southern Ethiopia please do yourself a favor and book Degu. As a solo female traveler, I felt very comfortable, safe, and protected under the guidance of Degu and my extraordinarily talented driver, Rashid. This was a life-changing experience and it could not have gone more smoothly. Hanging out with Degu and Rashid give me an intimate introduction to remote tribes in south Ethiopia and I could not imagine another way of spending a week of solo travel.

Absolutely consistent, the program was clear and precise. Degu picked us up from/to the airport, the Ethiopian meals were delicious and the accommodations were very decent. We spent 5 days in the Omo Valley with an excellent driver , Rashid, the master of Formula 1 for us. However, what cannot be described in words is the transmission of love and knowledge of the region since it is his region of origin. He was very helpful and organised an almost two-day visit to Lalibela for us. We were very happy with our visit. Thank you very much.

No doubt that Degu is the best guide for your adventure! We had a 2-day unforgettable tour with my boyfriend, visiting the Banna, Hamer, and Karo tribes. Degu is extremely knowledgeable about all the tribes, their languages, customs, and way of living. In addition, he is very kind, flexible, responsible, and caring person. I highly recommend!!!💯

Degu was a magnificent guide, he was able to acomodate to our limited time in Jinka and spent a full day on tour with us. His knowledge and experience with the tribes, surroundings and human skills left us highly satisfied. He went the extra mile and helped us with the accomodation at the end of the day. Will definitely recomend for future visit to Omo Valley! Gracias Degu (Javi, Pati & Ade)

I decided to travel with Degu to the Omo Valley when I saw how friendly and engaging he was in his TikTok videos. I made the right choice. Degu, Ketema (driver extraordinaire), and myself spent seven days and six nights cruising through the valley- and it was one of the best travel experiences of my life. Ethiopia is a treasure. A nation wealthy in religious and cultural history. I love it so much I returned several months later, to the north this time, and there was never a question who I would choose as my guide. By the way, please do ask Degu about charity organizations in Addis Ababa (or elsewhere). Helping out a bit where I could has been an awarding and wonderful experience.

The experience was incredible. Degu took care of us at every moment. We visited 7 tribes and felt very welcome in each of them. Degu had everything planned in advance and for 5 days we didn’t have to worry about anything. Life changing experience to be with the tribes and live with them for a couple of days. They treated us like family and had meals with us. We could attend a bull jumping ceremony and learn their culture from the elders and the children. Totally recommend this tour and Degu as a guide. We have 0 complains. Thank you Degu!!
