Novi is Balinese and specialises in truly authentic Balinese cuisine, all her classes are bespoke and for a single booking for between 1 and 4 people.
Novi's has over 200 recipes on her You Tube channel 'Novi's Bali Kitchen' to choose from and is always happy to discuss personal individual recipe requests.
Classes are held in Novi's home and guests are given delicious freshly made refreshments on arrival and throughout their class. In true Balinese style classes are relaxed and whilst being highly professional, there is no rush and always plenty of time to sit together and enjoy what you have prepared. Your class can also take place at your private villa or venue. Please enquire for further information.

What To Expect
Together we will prepare the 5 dishes you have chosen, 2 starters, 2 main courses and a dessert. We will serve you the most delicious homemade refreshments on your arrival and throughout your time with us and chat through the menu, introducing all the ingredients and equipment we will be using. When you are ready we will begin and follow the recipes step by step in your own time and on completion there is always ample time for you to enjoy the fruits of your labour.

5.00Novi was an excellent recommendation, we were looking for a cooking class that could handle dietary restrictions like gluten free and vegetarian and allergies and this was an excellent experience! She thoughtfully curated a menu for us and doubled checked all the ingredients would be safe. The food was absolutely delicious and we learned some cool new techniques too!

5.00This was a personalized local cooking class. She was able to work around my shrimp allergy. We had so much fun learning how to cook the local cuisine. AND...the food was delicious! It was truly a hands-on experience!

5.00What a fabulous experience ! Novi is so genuinely lovely and kind, and makes you feel so welcome. Her assistants were just as friendly and welcoming. I have been cooking for 50 yrs, but still learnt some new techniques. The quality of the ingredients was first class, with fresh market vegetables. The recipes were well taught, I even think I can manage this at home, with the help of the take away recipe sheets. There was so much food, I could only eat a little of it!. Absolutely delicious, can’t believe I cooked it myself ! Novi and her team packed it all carefully so I could bring it back to enjoy with my husband for dinner later. I would highly recommend this class to anyone interested in real Balinese cooking. And please check out her YouTube channel.

5.00My mother and I reached out to Novi after seeing her cooking videos on YouTube (check out Novi’s Bali Kitchen channel!) Learning Balinese cooking from Novi turned out to be one of the best experiences we have ever had on holiday or in Bali - she is such a warm and kind presence and the food we made with her was so unbelievably delicious we still think about it now! Transport to Novi’s was easy as she gave us a driver contact and we even had enough food to take home. We will absolutely be back to learn more recipes from her ! Don’t hesitate - book a lesson with Novi!

5.00Novi's Bali Kitchen cooking class was a wonderful experience. If you would like to learn how to cook genuine Balinese cuisine then this is the place to go. Novi invites you into her gorgeous outdoor (covered) kitchen and teaches you everything you need during the hands on cooking class. Then to sit down to the delicious meal and the end was an absolute treat. I have done many cooking classes all over the world and can honestly say this was the most true to culture class I have taken. Thank you Novi.

5.00We loved every minute of our cooking class with Mbok Novi. She tailored the class to our special requests and is wonderfully knowledgeable about Balinese cooking and even the small regional differences. My husband and I felt so very welcome by her hospitality and kindness. She went into depth about the reasons for using different oils at different times and how the traditional herbs and spices create flavour. Gave me a lot of confidence to cook for my husband who is Balinese. Thank you mbok Novi - can’t recommend you enough and we will be back. Matur suksma
