Join us on a unique ski touring adventure in Ridder and enjoy an unforgettable deep powder skiing in the woods! Kazakhstan is an amazing country for adventures, offering new experiences, new destinations as well as new culture for skiers. We offer you the opportunity to ski in the Altai Mountains that stretch over 4 countries: Russia, China, Mongolia and Kazakhstan.
Our trip starts from Ust-Kamenogorsk (Oskemen in Kazakh), the capital of the East Kazakhstan Region. Then we drive to Ridder, which is the gateway to the northern and western part of Kazakhstan’s Altai.
Accommodation for the 6-day programme is in a comfortable, heated lodge in the woods of the Altai. Please note: single/double rooms will not be available during this trip. The lodge has a stove heating and provides warmth even in the bitter cold. Next to our lodge is a Banya (famous Russian banya). You’ll have a chance to feel the difference between the Russian banya and the Scandinavian sauna.

Ridder
Ski touring on Sergzhinskiy ridge. While the town of Ridder is not much of a draw in itself, its surroundings most definitely are. Tremendous tracts of taiga forest harbour big wildlife like elks and bears while the nearby hills and mountains are a great playground for snowboarders and skiers of different levels and preferences.

A sweater in Ridder is a separate kind of pleasure. Unforgettable spots, excellent guides, wonderful ride. And like the icing on the cake - a bathhouse with a beautiful snowdrift outside. Frozen Rocks is better. Ridder is a place where I will definitely return.

I have been ski touring with Frozen Rocks company in Ridder back in December 2022. The trip was well organized with respect to accommodation, logistics and food supply. For 3 days in a row we were ski-touring at different locations every day. So the intensity was varying. Good to have a good company aside along with professional guides/instructors. A great bonus was to finish a hard work day in a sauna well prepared by a accommodations holds!

It's not the first time I've visited Ridder Camp. Beautiful places, great company, mood and unforgettable emotions. Educated guides and their pick of routes where no one else has been, just pristine chubby and just for us. Recreation and organization of SUPER. You can't describe all the emotions and impressions. THANK YOU Yule and the boys for having such a good time. I'll be sure to get back to that fairy tale.

Excellent guides, they selected routes where there were no traces other than ours, they also selected the difficulty for the group. We lived in very comfortable conditions, excellent hearty meals for breakfast and dinner. Also in the house where we lived there is Internet. Upon arrival in Ust-Kamenogorsk, we were met at the airport and taken to the base in Ridder There was an opportunity for two days of ski touring and one day of cat skiing

I had the privilege to spend a week ski-touring with Julia at the East Pole base near Ridder, and I highly recommend both the experience and Julia's organization of it. The snow is as deep and powdery as you can wish, and there is just the right density of trees in the surrounding fir and birch forests to have fun slaloming around them. East Pole was very comfortable, with excellent and abundant food. Enjoying a daily banya before dinner was also memorable. Two thumbs up !
