Pingvellir National Park
Is one of the best geological wonders in Iceland. This UNESCO World Heritage Site and Game of Thrones film location. Epic Icelandic landscape, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet! Þingvellir means assembly fields and in the year 930 AD, Iceland’s historic democratic parliament – one of the first in the world – was founded there. Most Icelandic people regard Þingvellir as a sacred place, a place of great beauty and an incredible stepping stone in their history.
Geysir
The Great Geysir, which is no longer active. The area is filled with steam vents, bubbling pits, and sizzling ponds, with multicolored patches dotted here and there. The main show of the site is the active Strokkur Geyser that gushes 20 meters up in the air every 5 to 10 minutes. The spectacular, lively sight is the highlight of the Geysir geothermal field.
Gullfoss
It is an astonishing waterfall originating from Iceland’s second-largest glacier Langjökull. Its roaring cascade first runs down a gradual slope for 11 meters (36.01 ft) then tumbles down deep into the canyon with a 21 meter (68.9 ft) magnificent, wide drop, creating impressive, beautiful mist to splash up in the air, reflecting a giant rainbow in the sunlight.
Kerid Crater
We will first make a stop at the Kerid Crater in the Golden Circle, a volcanic crater lake that formed around 3000 years ago. It’s famous for the stark contrast in colors - maroon mineral sediment, dark lava rocks, and blueish lake water - forming a naturally eye-pleasing sigh
Fridheimar
The one and only Friðheimar Tomato Soup served on a buffet with sour cream, home-baked bread, cucumber salsa, butter and fresh herbs
Secret Lagoon - Gamla Laugin
The Secret Lagoon, known locally as Gamla Laugin, is the oldest swimming pool in Iceland. It was made in 1891 at Hverahólmi, a geothermal area near Flúðir.

Ytri Tunga Beach
Beautiful ocean scenery and the seal colony reside here.
Budakirkja
The small church was constructed from black wood. The church, rebuilt in 1987 on the site of the original 18th-century building, is picturesque in itself, but what makes Búðakirkja unmissable is its impressive surroundings. Possible lunch at a restaurant located next to the church.
Sönghellir Cave offers a further insight into Iceland’s rich history. Sönghellir (the “singing cave”) is gifted with brilliant acoustics, which has made it famous for its echoes. The cave is also home to centuries-old graffiti, including the names of two 18th-century travellers.
Londrangar Basalt Cliffs
Londrangar and the hill Svalthufa are the remains of a crater, which has been eroded to its present form by the sea. The farmers in the area never made or make hay on the hill, because it is said to belong to the elves living in the area. Younger lava fields surround this old crater ruin. The higher pillar (75m) was first climbed in 1735 and the lower (61 m) in 1938.

In 1991, Reynisfjara appeared on the top ten list of the most beautiful non-tropical beaches in the world, and it is very easy to see why it was chosen!
Saxholl Crater
axholar Crater was another unplanned stop that caught our eye from the road. The 109m crater was formed by a volcanic eruption 3–4000 years ago. A staircase has been constructed up the side to protect it and it only takes about five minutes to reach the top. It’s fascinating to see inside the crater and there are fantastic views of the lava fields, mountains, and sea.

From the very start, communication with Luke was seamless — he was responsive, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our trip special. His flexibility shone through as he crafted a personalized itinerary around my son’s dream destinations, while also suggesting hidden gems we never would have found on our own. Our guide’s warmth, expertise, and attention to detail exceeded all expectations. She not only led us safely to picture-perfect spots and delicious local eateries but also shared fascinating insights about Icelandic culture and nature that brought each place to life. Highlights such as the majestic Vestrahorn, the exhilarating hike behind Selvallafoss waterfall, and playing in the salmon river will remain forever in our hearts. Traveling with Luke and his team felt effortless, safe, and deeply personal. We cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone dreaming of exploring Iceland — this journey has truly given us a treasure trove of cherished family memories.

Luke and his team provided our family with the trip of a lifetime. Even in July, a peak tourists month in Iceland our guide showed us less traveled and absolutely amazing spots that other tour groups simply would t know about. The tour was curated to meet the interests of the adults as well as our two children (ages 10 and 13) Our guide became like family, and made each day an absolute adventure. As photographers (hobbyist) we also found many spots to get the perfect shots. We have preserved our Iceland trip with timeless photos. If you’re looking for a personal, exclusive and memorable tour… CALL LUKE!

Our group had varying ages and a range of interests/activity levels and he did a great job planning our days out - he even managed to dial up a few days of sun! ;) He was organized, responsive, and thoughtfully bought us some local treats to try - Prince Polo! We made an album of our trip and loved that he took some great photos to include. Super time had by all!
