My trip got off to a bad start. I landed in Namibia and received a WhatsApp from World Safari Tours informing me that 2 out of 3 of my accommodation options (4 out of 5 nights) had not actually been booked!! This was despite me booking with them 3 months in advance, getting them to confirm the exact lodges I would be staying at, and putting that in writing. Despite booking and paying 50% of the costs in June, the evidence World Safari Tours provided to show they had booked the accommodation showed that hotels had only actually been booked in late August. It was also not clear if the booking receipts were specifically for my booking. What ensued was a painful afternoon of World Safari Tours trying to convince me to take far worse accommodation options which I refused. I had to look for alternative options myself, and whenever I found one that looked decent, Safari World Tours would claim they had no availability, despite me being able to book both directly with the provider and on Booking.com. After 4 hours of fruitless discussion, I informed them that I would be booking the accommodation that I thought best matched what I had agreed and they would need to reimburse me. At this point my contact finally escalated the case to the manager, who heard about the farse and agreed. I had to spend an additional £400 to secure accommodation for my tour. Safari World Tours were true to their word and did repay me for this. Once on the tour, things went fairly smoothly and we had a good time. Our driver/guide was nice and knowledgeable, albeit a bit relaxed. Eg: On the night we were in Swakopmund and were meant to eat dinner in a local restaurant, despite knowing the one he wanted to take us to, he did not book it. Once we arrived, they were full as were most other restaurants in the town so we had to walk around for some time and then wait for tables to eat. It was also slightly difficult to do anything without him - we were together 6am-10pm. For example, on one of our free afternoons in Swakopmund we decided to play golf. While we had no objections to him joining us, we were a bit shocked when we were expected to pay for his round, equipment etc. All in all, once we got going, the tour itself was great. But the organisation and communication skills of Safari World Tours was frankly terrible! If choosing to tour with them in the future, make sure you ask for Clarence (manager) to handle your booking rather than one of his staff members, who whilst responsive, were frustrating and completely ineffective.

We had a fantastic trip with our lovely guide, Henzel. He was so helpful, informative and interesting to talk to - especially since we covered a lot of miles in our 6 days! We climbed Dune 45 and Big Daddy in Sossusvlei, walked through the beautiful and barren Deadvlei, visited the Crystal Gallery and the Blue Grass Restaurant in Swakopmund. Then we had a great time in Etosha National Park - and were lucky enough to see lions, leopards and rhino, as well as lots of elephants, zebra and so many other animals. It was also interesting to stop off at various towns on the way, and get a glimpse of people just going about their daily business, in local dress, in the markets and at the street stalls. It was a lot to cover in quite a short time, but it was so worth it - and thanks again to Henzel, from me and my two sons!

We did the "7 Days Wildlife Etosha and Sossusvlei Namibian Safari (Accommodated)" with Safari World Tours in December 2023 and it was the best choice for our family! We are experienced travelers (49 countries visited) and found that to travel to Namibia with a small child (4 years old) a tour would the the best option, which now we can recommend 100%. First we asked for the budget and itinerary, then we booked the tour and exchanged a lot of information and Safari World Tours was always very fast to answer and provided all the details we needed. Very professional and trustworthy, their representatives made us feel even before leaving that the trip was well organized. They had a child seat for our daughter to use in the car and were always on time for all the appointments. Our guide Henzel was amazing, the perfect balance between being professional, funny, enthusiastic, informative, knowladgeable and trustworthy. He took care of us the whole trip, drove safely, knew all the local details, assumed the arrangements and left us with the easy task of just enjoying ourselves and this beautiful country. We thought 7 days would feel rushed, but it really didn't. We visited all the places we wanted and still had time to relax by the pool, beach or restaurants. Did some great extra activities as well. All the accommodation booked was high standard and the food was delicious. Couldn't recommend this company more and their responsibility for the success of our Namibia trip! Ask for Henzel, go with your family and you won't regret it ;)

This is a challenging review to write. The Namibia tour Viator offers is 5-star. We saw and did many fun and interesting things. Our tour guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable. However the tour operator Viator used locally in Namibia, Safari World Tours, was not good. We booked a 6-night tour: 2 nights in Etosha National Park, 2 nights in Swakopmund and 2 nights in Sossusvlei. Safari World Tours thought we had a 5-night tour and only booked 3 nights of hotel stays. As a result our guide had to hustle to find us accommodations for 3 of the 6 nights. As a result, we were inconvenienced by 6 nights at 6 different lodging locations. Safari World Tours was apologetic and tried to make up for the debacle with a boat excursion in Walvis Bay.

this trip was one of the best ever, much above expectations! Etosha National park with full of amazing animals, the roads with the views you get speechless; all food and drinks the highest quality, quad biking in the dunes, and all the unbelievable colored dunes. we will live from the thousands of picture shot during the trip. Our guide Rudolf was simply amazing, knew everything about fauna and flora, history, and knew everyone everywhere.
