We did a 8 days Uganda tour with Trek Rwenzori tours early September & it was a surreal experience throughout. Starting with Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Chimpanzee tracking at Kibale, Queen Elizabeth NP & finally Mountain Gorilla tracking at the Bwindi Impenetrable, it was as if we were living a dream. All the arrangements were perfect & accommodation excellent. Emma & Isaac were ever smiling, courteous & always willing to walk the extra mile to ensure that everything is perfect. Only minor hitch was the AC in vehicle not working ( probably because of time constraint, they couldn't repair it). But considering the dusty roads & the heat in the afternoon, AC vehicle is a must. All in all, we had an amazing experience in Uganda thanks to Emma & Trek Rwenzori which exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend Uganda tour with Trek Rwenzori.

I chose this company for my trip to Uganda. The trip lasted six days, during which I was able to go on 3 safari Gorilla walk Rhino walk The well-known Queen Elizabeth Reserve The country is very safe People in Uganda are very nice The leader who was with me had sufficient experience in moving between forests in such a short period I strongly advise you not to miss the opportunity to go with this company, as it allows you to organize trips according to your desire. They also organize hiking trips for those interested.

Trek Rwenzori organised tours, safaris and drivers for me in Uganda, October 2023. I went to Kibale Forest, Similiki national park, Rwenzori mountains, Queen Elizabeth Park. And many places in between. I was largely based in Fort Portal. They organised to pick me up in Kampala, then after all the tours we drove to Rwanda. It was an unforgettable experience for me, too many highlights for such a short review! Emma, John and all the guides along the way know the area of East Uganda, understand the many cultures, languages and provide non-stop insights. They are also fun guys to hang out with, have a sharp sense of humour. I liked being with them over the bumpy roads! I’d highly recommend them for tours, safaris and getting around in Uganda.

My friend and I decided we wanted to see the Gorillas and decided on Uganda due to the cheaper permits than Rwanda. It's a long way to travel just for the one day gorilla trek so we decided to spend 5 days in the country and cram in as much as we could. Whilst getting quotes from various tour companies my friend was recommended Trek Rwenzori Tours from someone he met before whilst backpacking so we also asked them for a quote. We found Rwenzori very responsibly priced and thought they had the best itinerary. A break down of the itinerary we done: Day 1: Land and travel to hotel Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and boat safari ( and added a night safari) Day 3: Safari Day 4: Gorilla trekking Day 5: (added Rhino trekking), travel to airport and depart We decided to proceed with this tour and we ARE SO GLAD that we did. Emmanuel couldn't have been more helpful through the whole process. We exchanged emails and whatsapps and he answered all of our questions very quickly. We had big concerns about sending money to Uganda which wasn't helped by Emmanuel requesting deposit payment by Western Union (a method that is often used by scammers). When i explained this to him he explained that he is in the process of sorting a full bank account but it wasn't operational yet. The issue was we needed to send the money as a deposit that Rwenzori would use to secure our trekking permits. Amazingly, Emanuel resolved the issue by purchasing our permits for us. They cost about £500 each so this was a big gesture that i don't think you would get elsewhere. So we booked our flights and off we went. We were still very apprehensive flying out to meet him as Rwenzori do not appear to be the biggest company in Uganda however we needn't have worried. Emmanuel was there to meet us at the airport as planned and from then on we had the most amazing time. Emmanuel delivered on everything that was promised and could not have done more for us. Not once did he ask us for extra money other then the agreed initial price despite buying us beers and doing extra work. We added on a nighttime safari drive at the last minute and he done everything he could to make that happen for us. He couldn't have been more helpful throughout our whole time there. All of the activities we done were good but the primates were incredible. The gorillas are a once in a lifetime experience ... if you are considering it, DO IT. We visited the Rhinos at Ziwa sanctuary which is not too far from the airport and that was incredible too. The conservation work they are doing is amazing so please visit there if you are visiting Uganda. The accommodation that Rwenzori arranged was all good, in fact two of the places we stayed in where amazing. Food was good but be prepared to eat at local restaurants. I mentioned in the beginning that we wanted to cram as much in as we could and Emmanuel made sure we did in our short time in Uganda. Be prepared that Uganda is a large country so whenever we were not doing an activity we were driving (special mention to our driver who worked so hard and must have been knackered when we left! He was a really nice guy too). If you are thinking of going to Uganda, DO IT. If you are thinking of using Rwenzori Tours, DO IT. Contact Emmanuel, ask him questions and he will help create an itinerary that is best for you. His flexibility helped make our trip as amazing as it was.
