An intimate and informative wine tour

5.00Santorini is famous for its wine and a tour of the vineyards is a must. We had the perfect wine tour, visiting three wineries (sampling 10 different wines), including a lovely dinner at one, and a romantic sunset at the final stop. Our guide, Nicholas was perfect, giving us enough information without overdoing things, allowing us time to ourselves (especially over dinner) and not rushing things. A major benefit is that the tours are intimate: we were the only ones on our tour, but Nicholas explained that even in high season they generally take no more than eight on a tour.

5.00The tour guide picked us up from the hotel resort and we started our tour by visiting the beautiful town of Oia and George was great explaining the details and history of the town. Then we stopped at we stopped at wine tasting and George gave us a wine cellar tour followed by an amazing wine tasting. Then we headed to the monastery on a very scenic drive in which George explained the small details. On the way down we stopped at a small town followed by lunch at the black sand beach. The tour was very amazing and the tour guide George made it extra special. Highly recommend!
