Gerduberg basalt columns
The first stop of the day is The Gerðuberg cliff, which is partially composed of 14 meters high basalt columns. The peculiar detail about the columns is that they are geometrically symmetric. Do not miss this!
Budakirkja
Start exploring the south coast of the Snæfellsnes peninsula with a short stop at Búðir church. The latter is among the three black churches in Iceland, making it an extremely sough spot by photographers. A little further, you find the Búdir hotel. It does happen that every once and a while, seals are spotted in the sea.
Arnastapi is worth a small stop as the area is renowned for its beauty. The beach is fascinating because erosion carved an arch right in the stone, called Gatklettur, or simply a hole in the cliff.
Vatnshellir Lava Cave
At 2 pm, you explore an 8000-year-old lava tube located 32 meters under the ground! This is genuinely a fantastic lava formation where robust flows created an anti-chamber accessible by spiral stairs. Equipped with a helmet and headlight, you descend deep under the surface.
Djúpalónssandur is a black pebble beach where sailors were selected right on the spot long ago t. Men's strength was tested by lifting big rocks (23 to 155 kg) and heavy drifted wood logs and carrying or throwing them as far as possible. Today, we can still see the stones and many records on the shore and the remainder of the rusty shipwreck. The site is kept untouched to connect with history through.
Saxholl Crater
You might like to end the day with a visit to the genuine Saxhóll volcanic crater. Led by wooden steps along the way, you reach the 100 meters (about 328.08 ft) deep crater after a nice and leisurely walk. You have a fantastic view of the sea, the lava fields, and on a bright day, Reykjavík is on the horizon!
Kirkjufellsfoss

Skógar campsite - Skógum, 861 Hvolsvelli - 2 minutes driving from Skógafoss waterfall
Pingvellir National Park
You start the Golden Circle exploration with a visit to Þingvellir national park. You next visit Geysir, where the geyser Strokkur shoots its warm water column up to 15 meters in the air. The geothermal area also has many fumaroles, mud pots, and openings where you can witness boiling water coming through the earth's crust.
Gullfoss
Gullfoss waterfall is an impressive chute 32 meters high. It falls dramatically into a deep crevasse covering the entire surrounding with water spray. It is common to see many rainbows when the droplets catch the sunlight. If you are interested, we recommend you visit the Fridheimar Restaurant and Farm, famous for horse breeding, horse show activities, and tomato farm. The latter entirely run with geothermal energy and uses biological pest control products. Fridheimar is open for visits and has a restaurant where you can taste their tomatoes' specialties. Skogafoss
Skógafoss is an impressive waterfall fed by the melting waters from Eyjafjallajokull and Myrdalsjokull glaciers. This robust chute provides a unique experience where loud sounds, water spray, and rainbows surround you as the light reflects on the droplets. Be ready to be amazed!
Kirkjubæjarklaustur Campsite - Kirkjubæ 2 - 1 hour driving from Svartifoss Please call the campsite before you arrive
Fjadrargljufur Canyon
Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon is among the must-see sites on the south coast. With its curved and dramatic shape, frigid river, and the odd sheep here and there, grazing grass is worth the detour! This site was the prod Justin Bieber's music video production site in 2015.
Be ready to have an outer-world experience today! The Diamond beach is a beautiful black beach where thousands of ice blocks from the glacier lie around. They are of numerous sizes and shapes and glitter in the sunlight just as diamonds do!
Today you will experience an Ice Cave Tour, offered and organized by the supplier: Local Guide of Vatnajökull. The Ice Cave Tour is a half-day tour that allows you to experience a stunning blue ice cave in Vatnajökull. Start your journey by driving a super jeep into the glacial valley before hiking to the mouth of the crystal blue, naturally occurring cave. The cave is reforming by melting every summer, which always makes it a unique experience.
Selfoss campsite Gesthus - Engjavegur 56, 800 Selfoss - 1 hour driving from Seljavallalaug, last stop of the day

I had a great experience renting a Tesla from CampEasy. The whole process was simple and efficient, and the car was in perfect condition—clean, comfortable, and ideal for exploring Iceland. Customer service was excellent from start to finish. A special thank-you to Lidia for being so friendly, helpful, and making everything go smoothly. I couldn’t have asked for a better rental experience. Highly recommended!

Sergio Pita Sanz we were 7 days of actions 5 friends and the truth was amazing, the van took a ford transit (you don't take 4x4 if you are not going to cross rivers, you will pay more for nothing) is okay although we lost almost two hours at check in, it is the only negative point. The van is clean and everything they give you is very good, duvets, pillows, 2 camping gas and scourge and soap.

We rented a camper van (VW Crafter) from CampEasy for one week over Christmas to explore Iceland for the first time, and it was an incredible experience! We were happily surprised by their clear and detailed website, which made it easy to choose the right vehicle for our needs. The option to add extra blankets, duvets, or pots and pans for free was a fantastic bonus. Their customer service was excellent—they were quick to answer our questions and made the check-in process super simple, even accommodating our late arrival with the option to sleep in their parking area and access nearby toilets. The camper van was equipped with clear video instructions on a tablet, 5G WiFi, and everything we needed for a comfortable journey. We also received weather alerts by email, which was a huge plus in a country like Iceland, where road and weather conditions can change rapidly. CampEasy truly exceeded our expectations with their well-equipped vehicles and outstanding service. Thanks for being such a big part of our fantastic first adventure in Iceland. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We couldn't be happier to have chosen CampEasy for our 7-day tour of Iceland. Our plane landed at 2am so the offices were no longer open and we had to use the selfservice which was organised to perfection. In addition, due to the time it was, they let us spend the night in their facilities, for which we are infinitely grateful. We were two people and the camper we chose was the Easy Fun which says it is for 3 but I honestly think that for 3 people it would be a bit small. For us 2 it was the perfect size. It comes with everything we needed for the days we were there and we weren't cold at any time which is appreciated with -10 degrees on the street. It also comes with a tablet with many recommendations of places to visit, gas stations along the way, campsites where you can stay.... All in all, a 10. Now we have to go back to see the north and I'm sure we'll do it again with them!

What an amazing experience renting with Camp Easy. I can't think of a better way to see such a beautiful country. We had enough dishes and cookware to make everything we wanted for the week, and the camper even had a sink! The tablet came with wifi so we could easily navigate and keep in touch with the staff at Camp Easy via chat if we needed to. Dawid was especially helpful in answering all of our questions ahead of time. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Can't wait to come back 😁

We were lucky enough to see the northern lights three times. The Iceland experience was elevated for the local people we met during the trip and also for riding a campervan. I would repeat the experience without hesitate!
