  • tour in Guatemala . Group from Italy

Guatemala Adventure organized the tour of Guatemala for our group of 4 couples of friends living in Italy. We were very satisfied with the organization of the tour: the hotels where we stayed were excellent, the excursions were well organized and our guide Rodolfo was very competent and friendly. Ciao Rodolfo!!! An appreciation also for the drivers who drove the minibuses carefully on the roads of Guatemala.

Organization of the professional and impeccable tour under any aspect and at any time of the process from the first contact to the reservation, payment and of course the execution of the trip. Guides prepared and with great knowledge of the country.

Of the 7 days of touring, we were particularly pleased with our stay in Antigua. The weather was very pleasant and the Hotel Camino Real Antigua was outstanding. Our tour guide, Gustavo, was very knowledgeable and spoke good English. Unfortunately, our flight to Flores (Tikal) was delayed for 3 hours after being picked up at the hotel at 4AM. As a result, by the time we got into Tikal National Park, it was extremely hot and humid. I would not advise travelling there in March. Our hotel there (Villa Maya) was listed as being in Flores, but was in fact about 20 minutes driving time out of Flores. It was too hot to be outside, and there was no TV, and internet was virtually non-existent. The restaurant was open-air, and the waiters had to move floor fans around to keep the customers comfortable.

  • WONDERFUL COUNTRY BUT VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE TOUR AND ORGANIZATION

We travel with GUATAEMALAN ADVENTURE in DECEMBER 2023, 4 friends in a private tours. The organizations has been very bad, poor guides, very bad drivers, they even do not know where we had to go, asking everyone during the trip. Very bad vehicles, old and not suitable for 4 peoples. During the Tour we had always to call the guides/drivers arrive with very long delays ( over an hours). The Tour was very bad coordinate and organized we paid for visits we have not done, we had a lot of problems with this Tour operatour. They are not serious and absolutely not recommendable. We travel all around the world since 35 years, Guatemala is a wonderful Country, but the worst experience we had ever done with a Travel Agency. What they had presented to us has not corresponded to the real services they have offered, but we have paid based on the proposal thety have done. Therefore, we asked us to refund us all the services we have paid but not received, they refund us a very small amount, which does not compensate all the disservices we have done, but surprise in refunding they money they charged us the commission!!

We just got back from the 8 day Guatemalan Adventure tour and had an amazing experience!! The guides (Josue, and Erdo) were outstanding! They had a passion for their country, were extremely knowledgable, very friendly, and spoke perfect English. The experiences were varied and we felt like we saw so much. The food was delicious, and we were very well cared for. It could not have been any better. I highly recommend this experience with this company!!

The support was amazing all the way till the end of the tours. Very knowledgeable guides throughout. The added bonus of a volcano erupting (mildly) was an added bonus. Atitlan is one of the most beautiful place I've seen (I have been to over 65 countries.) I would highly recommend this tour company without reservations. All my contacts were very enjoyable.

Guatemala was much more than we expected. This was largely due to excellent guiding particularly Pedro. Most Everything went seamlessly. We had plenty of hiking which we enjoy. Pacaya Volcano was a real nice surprise. Will recommend Guatemalan Adventures.

  • Perfect private tour

We used Guatemalan Adventure to define and organise a 10 days private tour for my family (couple + 4 adult children). First, they quickly responded to our email request and proposed a tour that we were able to adapt based on our preferences. On site, everything was perfectly organised. We had zero issue or delay. Davis was our private guide for most of our tour and he was great: very knowledgable, with a very good english but also easy going and fully flexible. I was also our driving us around in a very modern van. We could not have wished anything better. A lot of thanks also for Eva and Lorenn who prepared that tour with us. They are both very professional and very attentive to our comments. Finally, as I know some of my friends had concerns about travelling in Guatemala, I want to say that we all felt extremely safe, everywhere and all the time. Guatemalan people are very nice and friendly and we hope to come back very soon!!

  • Spectacular sights and service

There were four of us in our party, two children ages 10 and 12. From the moment we were picked up in Guatemala City to our drop-off in Belize, we felt safe and informed. Informed on the sights, sounds, food and people of Guatemala. Our tour was pretty customized-we asked for a cooking class, and a Mayan Cave Ceremony and Eva found these options, which were spectacular. The tour guides (especially Miguel) was very kind and pointed us in the direction of some really good dining options. We tend to prefer casual spots and are not formal. The activities were fun (like Kayaking or horseback riding, hiking, zip-lining or making marshmallows) and the Guatemalans could not be kinder. We really got enjoy the sights and sounds...like a live volcano, crater lakes, or the rain forest. It was an active vacation and we enjoyed every minute. Eva is really special because she works very hard to co-ordinate travel to different locales, seamlessly and so the traveler has no stress. I cannot recommend this company enough for the quality of product and service.
