We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Cathy, who organized our entire trip across Beijing, Xi’an, and Shanghai. In Beijing, Cathy is simply outstanding, Cathy’s excellent command of English, cheerful personality, sense of humor, deep knowledge of history and culture made our every moment meaningful, had lots of fun our family loved her !!! She was very caring throughout, and also introduced us to authentic and healthy local food, which added so much to the experience! Cathy also coordinated our onward journeys seamlessly. In Xi’an, our local guide Linda was detailed, polite, and thoughtful—she explained the history with great clarity and made sure we were comfortable at every step. In Shanghai, Sophia was simply outstanding too, She knew exactly where to take us, balanced sightseeing with our needs, and by the end of the trip had become more like a family friend than a guide. Overall, our guide Cathy, Linda, and Sophia both with our drivers at each city did an amazing job in making our journey smooth, insightful, and memorable. We left China feeling enriched by the places we saw and touched by the warmth of the people who guided us, as well as all clean and comfortable car we used in all cities! Highly recommended company and tour!

Fabulous days with Cathy, Liam and Mary. My tour organizer Cathy, she was fabulous, helped me plan the perfect tour and introduced me to terrific guides Liam and Mary as well as great drivers. I got to see so many Fabulous places! They were so knowledgeable and pleasant. Got to see so many things and learned so much! Visiting Zuijiajiao and Zhouzhang provided so much insight into the China of the past. Walking along the canals and crossing stone bridges provided many wonderful photo opportunities. Then visiting key locations in modern Shanghai and Beijing provided the ideal contrast. It was well worth visiting the Yu Gardens and Summer Palace with its pavilions and intriguing rock formations. Despite being winter, there were some flowers and orchids blooming. I can only imagine how beautiful it is in flowering seasons or even the fall. It was fun walking around Shanghai’s Chinatown. We topped off one of the days rising 632 meters above modern day Shanghai in the world’s fastest elevator of the Shanghai Tower, the world’s third tallest building reaching the observation floor in 55 seconds! Don’t miss walking on the promenade by the Bund and see Shanghai all show with beautiful lights at night. The views are amazing and not to be missed. While in Beijing, we went to the Great Wall which is more impressive than can be imagined.

Liam was an excellent tour guide! He explained the various landmarks and the overall background of Shanghai in a very clear and concise way. He was very accommodating to our various requests and also recommended places to eat and places to buy souvenirs. His flair in the English language was also appreciated. He always makes it a point to use the correct words (and at the same time making the whole engagement lighthearted). With all that said, Shanghai is now a place which we will come back again - thanks to Liam! For context, Liam was recommended by Cathy (our Beijing tour guide) as we embarked on our holiday to Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai.

We had an extremely enjoyable week in Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai. Cathy showed us the highlights of Beijing. From the architectural intricacies of the Forbidden Palace to the rich history behind the construction of the Great Wall. She was very accommodating, and almost like having a big sister take you around the city. Our visit to Xi' An was short but sweet. We were awed by the terra cotta warriors and Angela did a great job taking us back to ancient times whilst walking us through the museum. Very knowledgeable indeed. But my favourite out of all was Shanghai, namely because our guide, Liam. I've been on many different tours throughout the years, but I must say that Liam has got to be my most favourite guide ever. He is really a great story teller, and I really enjoyed all of his stories, as well as description of the places, and the Chinese culture, history and people. He is also very passionate and genuinely enthusiastic about sharing these stories with us, which made it all the more interesting. He has a very special way with words, almost like a modern day Chinese poet, and is able to make history come alive. Thank you Liam for making our trip special.
