5.00Bottom line... this was a great experience. Details follow. Connected with Alan by way of his website several months before our travels. Made him aware we needed a pick up at cruise terminal and than take our bags to our hotel before beginning our tour. Afterwards we communicated with WhatsApp and that worked very well. Alan was right there when we exited the cruise terminal with our multiple bags. Everything fit into his SUV. And we set out for our day tour. Won't bore you with all the details, but with Alan's help we sort of improvised our itinerary. We'd done Christ the Redeemer the day before and had booked a time for Sugarloaf Mountain later that day. BTW doing CtR and SLM all in one day would be difficult. the crowds can be brutal. Alan was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our admittedly vague preferences. We added stops at famous beaches, a cathedral and a local restaurant. Alan really knows his way around Rio and has a wealth of knowledge about local history and attractions, which he shared freely. In addition Alan is personable and genuinely concerned about providing his guests with a good experience. He certainly delivered for us.

5.00This was my favorite tour! Alan advised us get “skip the line” tickets for Christ the Redeemer. Best thing we could have done. We were able to go ahead of hundreds of people in line to be on the train, elevator and escalator to see this amazing modern wonder of the world. Alan also took us to the art district and Ipanema and Copacabana beaches. Highly recommended

5.00We were very happy with the 8 hour tour we did today in Rio do Janeiro with Alan Denis. He was punctual, personable and, most importantly, extremely knowledgable about all the sights we visited. He clearly enjoys showing people round his home city and he made sure we were comfortable at all times. He’s a good driver and drives an air conditioned Citroen SUV. We chose the places we wanted to visit which were Sugar Loaf Mountain, the Cathedral, Selaron Steps, Santa Teresa, and Christ the Redeemer. We had a lovely lunch in Santa Teresa. We would have no hesitation in recommending Alan to show you around Rio. He is enthusiastic and made our day in Rio one to remember.

5.00I had the best experience with Alan. I was by myself on a Sunday and decided to book a private tour to visit several places I had in my bucket list for Rio. He picked me up at my hotel on time and took me to all the places I wanted to visit. He is very knowledgeable and shared information about the sites we went, but also about the many things that called my attention in the city. He shared about the culture, the customs, the history and heritage. He was also very flexible to adjust to new things I wanted to do. I couldn’t ask for more. It was a perfect and memorable Sunday. I will definitely contact him again in my next visit to Rio and will 100% recommend him to anyone visiting the city.

5.00We booked a tour that included the Rio Cathedral, Cinelandia Square, Santa Teresa Ruins, Selaron Steps, & Downtown Rio. They customized the tour to places that I personally wanted to see while we were in Rio. Alan responded so quickly to all of our inquiries and it was super easy to book and prepay the deposit. He speaks excellent English, is very knowledgeable of the city, arrived perfectly on time for the tour, and he was excellent company to hang out with for the day. :) The tour itself is a steal - the price we paid for a private tour without having to mingle with another group was super ideal. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this tour company hands down!!! Thank you, Alan!

He was very responsive to my queries about tour options and helpful in designing my itineraries and made excellent suggestions in line with my interests and preferences. Alan is a terrific guide. He was very knowledgeable and professional – he really gave me a valuable insight into Rio. Also, due to his experience, we were able to navigate the sights on the tour very efficiently without spending too much time in lines, etc. Alan was also warm and friendly and made my two days in Rio fun and memorable. All in all, a great experience!

Great communication from booking to the day of, on time and got us from one site to the next in his vehicle comfortably and safely. A native that knows his city well, we so enjoyed our time with Alan and the city he calls home.
