I participated in this tour as a solo traveler and experienced several issues related to organization, communication, and payment handling that future customers should be aware of. A few days before the tour, the guide contacted me to ask if I could move my booking to an earlier date to join an existing group. I agreed and adjusted my schedule. On the morning of the tour, my scheduled pickup time was 8:20 a.m. for a tour including an optional Busan beach train add-on. I was ready by 8:00 a.m., but the pickup was delayed by approximately 1.5 hours. During that time, the guide messaged me but did not provide a clear revised pickup time. When the guide arrived, he suggested canceling the booking or offering a 20,000 KRW discount. After I agreed to proceed with the tour, the company canceled and refunded my original Viator booking and requested that I pay in cash instead, which was only communicated after I was already in the vehicle. The amount requested changed during the day (first 30,000 KRW, then 40,000 KRW). I paid 50,000 KRW at the first stop and later settled the remaining difference in cash. It became clear that the tour was primarily organized for a larger Taiwanese group (approximately 13 people), and I had been added to their existing itinerary. The listing stated a maximum of 7 people per group, which did not match the actual group size. The schedule and pacing appeared to be tailored to the larger group, including considerations for small children, which affected timing and stops. According to the tour description, certain entrance fees (such as Ahopsan Forest and Taejongdae) were supposed to be included. At Ahopsan Forest, I was told that another guest had paid for my ticket, despite the tour description indicating it should be covered. In the guide’s messages, he also stated that my cash payment included the 8,000 KRW forest ticket. Taejongdae, which was listed as part of the itinerary with included entry, was not visited by 6:00 p.m., at which point I chose to leave the tour. The lunch stop was at a traditional Chinese restaurant set up for large group dining, which was not clearly communicated in advance and was not particularly suited to an individual traveler. Throughout the day, the guide engaged extensively with the larger group in their language, while responses to my questions were brief and lacked detail. At several stops, there were inconsistencies between the stated meeting times/locations and the actual pickup, requiring clarification or assistance from other group members. Later in the day, the larger group was dropped off at Gukje Market while I was taken separately to Gamcheon Culture Village. I was told I would have about an hour there, but the village’s posted closing time was 6:00 p.m., and I was dropped off at approximately 5:45 p.m. Due to these timing issues and ongoing confusion about the schedule, I decided to leave the tour and arranged my own transportation back to the city. Following the tour, I posted an honest review of my experience. Afterward, the guide contacted me multiple times from different phone numbers, initially offering a full refund if I removed my review, and later referencing potential legal action for defamation and for using profanity once in a text message. I had already paid in cash and did not wish to meet again, nor was I in the area. I reported the incident and the handling of the tour to Viator support through a formal complaint. I also submitted a complaint via the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) with the assistance of another guide I met on a separate tour. I took multiple other tours in Busan, Gyeongju-si, and Seoul through Viator without any comparable issues. Based on this particular experience, I recommend that solo travelers and small groups carefully review the tour details, confirm group size limits, and avoid agreeing to cancel secure platform bookings in favor of direct cash arrangements.

Very good tour where you get to see really most of what Busan has to offer. Our guide, Steven, was very friendly and informative. He was also offering to take photos of us and was pretty good at it. We had enough time at each stop to enjoy it but also not linger too long. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Busan for the 1st time! Thanks Steven

I wrote a full review on TripAdvisor. I basically got scammed where they canceled my booking and then asked me to pay in cash for a discount. I was lumped together with a Taiwanese group for their tour. I felt not wanted or included the entire day. The guide was very rude and short with me. Did not appreciate this at all would not recommend. They were more concerned about getting paid and me not writing a bad review. Not actually giving me a good customer experience.

Glad we picked this tour! Pick up and drop off made it easy. Steven our guide was especially helpful. His stories about his experiences as well as his knowledge added an extra personal touch. My wife and I were visiting Busan on our honeymoon. We were only here for 3 days and had to make the most of it. Received a booking confirmation and shortly afterwards got a text from Steven confirming pick up times and further details. It was extremely handy being picked up as I don’t think we would have been able to coordinate early morning traffic. Steven had great communication even before he arrived letting us know an ETA. The tour had a great combination of activities. Despite the packed itinerary and structure, at no point did we feel rushed and were quite often able to explore on our own. The forest was one of our highlights. We walked for about 3kms and various inclines. However, Steven ensured the pace was suitable for all members of our group (at different age and fitness levels) to not only keep up but to enjoy the experience. He was also very helpful with taking photos for us. Highly recommend this tour! My thanks to Steven for making the day so memorable.

This tour was absolutely worth it. Steven was a fantastic guide—punctual pickup, excellent communication throughout the day, and a great sense of humor that made the experience even more enjoyable. He shared so much knowledge about Busan and the history behind each stop, which really added depth to the tour. The itinerary was well-rounded, the small-group setting was comfortable, and everything ran smoothly. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see Busan in a meaningful, well-organized way.

This was a really fantastic tour! Rick was our guide and I genuinely enjoyed the experiences they put together. The tour is a wonderful value and certainly a full day of exploring! You see many of Busan's highlights and a nice variety of places to visit. I especially enjoyed the nature preserve and the cliffside temple. It was a small tour group size, about 7 total including Rick. They were wonderful and it was a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere the whole day. I think this tour is a great option whether you're solo, a couple, or a small group of colleagues. Lots of fun!
