This tour was something we were really looking forward to in Tunisia, and a reason why we decided to book a private tour instead of a group tour. Mongi, our driver, was amazing! Very kind and very attentive. But unfortunately there was a group tour happening in parallel, organized by the same agency, and at the end although in a separate car, we had the group experience. We had to keep waiting for the group, our driver had to make several unnecessary stops because of the group, etc. I texted Ali to complain, who was very friendly, but nothing changed. The argumentation was that we could profit from the group’s guide, but the guide was not very informative and was mainly speaking Italian (because the group was Italian, we are Germans). All in all, it was an unforgettable night (indeed sleeping alone, the group was at a hotel), but we are very disappointed to pay the extra fee for the private tour, when we were accompanied and our pace was ruled by the Italian group, who paid less. I would also like to say that Nori, who was in the camp with us overnight, was very nice and baked an amazing breakfast for us. So, in a nutshell: we did not really get “ A Private Camp will be organized for you, just for you in the middle of the desert!!!!! it is not a fixed camp!!!! A Private Camp created for You & Just for You!!!!”

Ali was a kind and knowledgeable guide who planned an amazing 2 days. We saw the highlights of Southern Tunisia without feeling rushed. I would definitely recommend doing this trip

We travelled as a group of 3 adults and 3 children (15, 14 and 7 years). Everyone was very happy with the tour and Ali is the perfect host. Thank you very much!

Ali coordinated a wonderful trip! My guide Houssem was so kind, he spoke English, and accompanied me across Tunisia in a smooth VW sports car. Houssem picked me up from my hotel and we saw so much it was incredible. The best part was how small the whole arrangement was. For example, along the way I saw giant busses of tourists show up. But most of the time it was just Houssem and I. He is from Tunisia and was able to tell me some personal anecdotes about the places we visited, and life in Tunisia. Personally, I like that sometimes we just drove without talking (some tours talk at you non-stop and it gets claustrophobic), the vibe here is very chill. Let’s the sites speak for themselves. In Tozeur, I was able to go shopping and find some gorgeous ceramic plates and hand woven rugs in a more relaxed shopping experience than in the capital. Plus, the meals along the way were well timed and delicious! The Sahara team that drove me to the camping/glamping site were so peaceful and happy. A night deep in the Sahara is a once-in-lifetime experience! Heads up, there is a lot of driving. Sometimes, 5 hour stretches of mountains and deserts. Plus the road to the camp is in a 4x4 driving through sand. This tour packs a lot in, while it could be seen in 3 or 4 days, or more! Just know, this is a road adventure. I’m from Dallas, Texas and will recommend this tour to all my friends. I hope they have the courage to go for it. You’ll have fond memories for life from this trip!

What a great way to jam pack a lot of experiences into only two days! By far the most surreal and wonderful experience was the night in the Sahara. My two hosts in the Sahara were wonderful. Mohammed was an impressive person and watching him make bread in the embers of the fire was just one of his many talents. Loved this experience and highly recommend. Two tips: dress for weather about 10 degrees cooler than expected. The tent and linens were very warm, but dinner time was slightly colder weather than expected. Luckily I had warmer items to layer up :) Tip 2: the drive back takes about 6 and a half hours. Completely worth it but a good thing to remember. :):)
