Craigmillar Castle
We start by riding up to see Craigmillar Castle, where Mary Queen of Scots stayed after the birth of her son, James I of England and VI of Scotland. We then head onto the cycle path, through the Victorian railway tunnel and up into Holyrood Park. Stop for a photo of Arthur’s Seat, Salisbury Crags and Edinburgh Castle. We then enjoy a lovely sweeping downhill ride to Holyrood Palace and Scottish Parliament. This was a wonderful way to see a bit of Edinburgh and one that I recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh. Leann (and assistant Joe) were wonderful. They helped us prepare for the bike ride and gave us a quick but informative introduction to how to use the bikes. Then they took us on a beautiful 2.5 hour ride around Arthur’s Seat, Hollywood Palace, and Craigmillar Castle. The ride was easy (gotta love the Boost mode for uphills) and it was the perfect balance of beautiful scenery and history. Leann was friendly, open to answering questions and she even took lots of pictures of us along the way, What makes this trip even more wonderful is that it is connected to a community center and some of the proceeds from the ride go support that community center. There is a garden affiliated with it and a cafe which used vegetables from the garden. Leann even teaches children and adults to ride bikes as well as part of a program there. So, you have a great experience and you are serving a good cause. (I don’t know why that isn’t advertised more). Thanks for a memorable experience!

If you are looking for some exercise, great views of Edinburgh, Scotland, learning about the history of the area and being guided by two wonderfulguides, book this tour immediately! The three of us had a wonderful afternoon, despite the rain. The bikes were in tiptop shape, and our guideswere very mindful of the fact that not everybody was an Olympic rider! It was an amazing time and ended all too soon!

Leanne was our guide and she was fantastic. She was very informative without being overbearing. We were a group of 3 couples all aged 50-60 the bikes were easy to use and we didn’t need the power mode until the climb up to Arthur’s seat. The trip was 2.5 hrs long and we rode around 10 miles. The views are stunning at the top. Leanne told us many interesting facts and obviously loves her job. We were talking about the trip the rest of our stay in Edinburgh. We would all recommend that you do this if you like cycling (although we had one person in our group who isn’t keen she still enjoyed it all). There are longer cycle routes also for the really keen. Finished off with a well earned coffee and cake in the little cafe afterwards. Well done to everyone involved with the wee bikes it’s a very worthwhile project. Paul from Wiltshire.

Very fun! The tour guide was pretty knowledgeable about the history we saw, took many pics and then airdropped them to us at the end, and the bikes were easy to use. The only part you even really needed an ebike for was going up to Arthur's seat. Got some good exercise and the place was easy to find (right next to a bus stop!). Would do again

We did the e-bike tour around Arthur’s Seat with Richard and it was amazing. He clearly explained directions (our first time on electric bikes) and signaled to us when to slow dawn and stop. Richard was a fountain of knowledge and he told us so much about history and Scotland . His delivery and approach was clear and organized. We stopped at many places along the way for information and pictures. What a memorable tour it was!

What a fun tour! Our guide Gill was very knowledgeable and thoughtful as to everyone es needs. Unfortunately, due to the fire we weren’t able to ride up Arthur’s Seat but we still had a great time.

Great ride around the area of the palace of Holyroodhouse and Arthur's Seat with beautiful views of the area. E-bikes made for an easy ride. We had a bit of wet weather but came prepared and did not dampen our spirits. Coffee spot at the end was good chance to dry out and have a chat.

Our ride was pleasant and could easily be done by an e-bike beginner. This was a great tour. Our guide was patient and informative. The route itself was beautiful, seeing a wee bit of Edinburgh and exploring Arthur’s Seat. I would definitely recommend.

What a fantastic way to spend an evening on a 2 1/2 hour E-bike history tour. It was a 10-mile tour around Craigmillar Castle & Arthur's Seat (although it didn’t feel like it) in the company of Gill who was kind, good humoured and very knowledgeable. The route was perfectly planned, with incredible views and the bikes were smooth, comfortable, well maintained and easy to cycle even for those of us without too much experience. The group felt small and intimate so it gave us a chance to get to know one another. We saw some wildlife en route which felt like we’d won Brucie Bonus Points. I can highly recommend A Wee Pedal for a unique and enjoyable experience.
