The description stated that people could get off and hike, however upon arrival we were told that wasn't what we signed up for. We were supposed to stay on the boat all day. Luckily the ticket agent was able to convert our tickets so that we had a drop off and pick up so we could hike. Boat was clean and nice, it did double as a water taxi, no amenities for guests unless you want to pay 5 NZD for a coffee. Staff were nice.

Great little boat trip. Had a lovely chilled time however if you wanted to make it a bit more exciting you can get the boat to drop you off to do some hikes. Crew were very friendly and provided us with blankets when it got a tad windy and cold. Lovely way to spend a morning

Very disappointed and worst experience, it was very bad weather and full rain, we did not see anything, 3hours we were seating on the chairs, you should cancel that cruise if you know that weather was going to bad, the staff members were so nice and they provided good service but it so terrible experience and so scary, I would really like to get some refund for my trip, just wasted my money.

Went on the 1245 cruise todayfor 3.5 hours, was advised that light meals and snacks were available on board. We ordered the hot chicken roll. Words cannot describe how disgusting this was, hard dried out bread roll, inedible and a ridiculous price of $10. Very dissappointing. A first rate area, you need to improve or not sell anything on board.

Went for the 4.5 hours trip, abit too long specially if you are with kids, better to get dropped on one of the beaches and picked up again later when the cruise is returning, you can have a good time on the quieter beach

My family of 7 went on the 4:30 ‘Happy Hour’ vista cruise and it was an hour and a half of pure hell. On a perfectly sunny and still day, the cruise was so fast and choppy that we could not see a single of the ‘spectacular beaches and islands’ that were advertised. The top of the boat was out of the question because of the wind and sea spray, and the bottom of the boat was so choppy, it felt like we were on Tasman’s sailboat back in 1642. We made a few ‘stops’ along the way, but we only made the stops to pick up and drop off other people, because this ‘cruise’ was a glorified water taxi. Oh and the ‘cafe/bar’ that this cruise touts was a 1 meter by 1 meter space with a microwave to heat up the frozen garbage they have. To make matters worse, the credit card machine didn’t work so you couldn’t buy their stupid food/drinks anyway. The boat was also disgusting and dirty. Do NOT waste your time

Wow this trip was absolutely fabulous! A 10/10 experience, it feels like you are in the islands. Phil, Michelle, and Ollie are awesome guides who are committed to their job and the people they are serving. You can tell they love what they do, and are passionate to make your trip the best experience. The food and hospitality were outstanding, completely blew us away. Felt so safe, relaxed, and able to switch off on this getaway. Will be recommending this to everyone!

The vendor's description of this "excursion" on Viator is egregiously misleading. This isn't a nature cruise with live narration. It is quite literally a water taxi that shuttles hikers to different parts of the park. Neither was there any "live" commentary. There were a handful of recordings, but they were barely audible because the speakers were in such disrepair. Sad waste of time.
