Aburi Botanical Gardens
At Aburi Botanical Gardens, immerse yourself in a peaceful haven of lush greenery and vibrant blooms. Wander along winding trails, encountering diverse native and exotic tree species. Towering palms and African mahogany trees create dappled shadows, while delicate orchids adorn overhead branches. Learn about conservation and biodiversity through guided tours, gaining insight into the garden's rich botanic heritage and ecological significance. Perfect for nature enthusiasts of all ages, it's an educational experience not to be missed.
Our next stop is the Tetteh Quarshie cocoa farm in Akuapim-Mampong, Ghana’s Eastern Region. Established in 1879 by Tetteh Quarshie, this farm is Ghana’s first commercial cocoa plantation. Quarshie, a skilled blacksmith, introduced cocoa to Ghana upon his return from Fernando Po (modern-day Equatorial Guinea) in 1879. While the origins of the cocoa beans are surrounded by speculation, the farm stands as a testament to Quarshie's legacy. Visitors can witness two original cocoa trees, over 145 years old, still bearing fruit.

I was alone in Accra and did know where to go! Vince made me feel very welcome and safe with his tour and explained every question I had about everything, we went out of town to visit the countryside waterfall and cocoa farm - which I have eaten a lot of chocolate but never knew where the beans came from. very fun to see! Then we went to se a garden with a lot of different plants that we for sure do not have in northern part of the world, also some old buildings from colony times. At the end we had a great lunch in a beautiful garden which also had a small Zoo that had all sorts of animals. Would use Vince as future guide as well very pleased

I recommend MoodofHope tours to learn about the history and culture in Ghana. Vince led us on an amazing day learning about the beautiful gardens and chocolate farms near Accra. We loved driving through villages and even visited a hidden, remote waterfall! Vince thought of every detail and planned a special day that our family will remember forever.

Our Aburi tour with Mood of Hope was the most enjoyable. Every aspect was so memorable and pleasant. The craft village, cocoa farm, and botanical gardens was a great itinerary for us. Our tour included a buffet lunch of the most delicious Ghanaian foods. Vince is a highly knowledgeable and professional guide. I would definitely recommend Vince and Mood of Hope Tours to anybody visiting Ghana - families, couples, students, or friends.

Vince is extremely professional and knowledgeable. It was my first time visiting Ghana and we met Vince on a tour around Accra, he was so great we used him multiple time while we were there. The Aburi tour was absolutely stunning! Learning about the Coco farms and walking through the garden made a lasting impression on me.
