Elmina Castle
Elmina Castle was established by Portuguese in 1482 as São Jorge da Mina (St. George of the Mine) in Elmina, Ghana (formerly the Gold Coast). Elmina and Elmina Castle was the first trading post built on the Gulf of Guinea, so is the oldest European building in existence below the Sahara. It was first established as a trade settlement but later became one of the most important stops on the route of the Atlantic slave trade. Today Elmina Castle is a popular historical site, and was a major filming location for Werner Herzog's 1987 drama film "Cobra Verde". It is an extremely popular destination for African American tourists seeking to connect with their heritage and a powerful reminder of the history of the slave trade.

5.00I booked the day before without conviction because I had a driver problem but very quick response and phew there was room! Med came to pick us up and he is a great guide! I don’t regret calling on them and I will do it again when I return to Ghana! Thank you for this great time and especially thank you for making me taste Ghanaian bread! DHl is waiting for you Med 🤣.

5.00Malik and Mannan were amazing private guides. We throughly enjoyed the tour, and our time with them. Started off as strangers and became friends by the end of it. They were accommodating and we felt safe the whole way through. The journey is long, so their energy and spirit made the tour worthwhile. Would definitely recommend 10000%!

5.00I was hesitant at the beginning. My excitement kicked in the moment we pulled into the parking lot. The walk at Karkum National Park was a memorable experience. I will definitely advice any adventurer to do the Canopy Walk... The entire experience is worth every penny.... Tour guides are very hospitable.

5.00We were able to tour with Med. We are a family of 9. I cannot express my gratitude for Med enough. His patience for planning our trips was next level. Then we get on the trips and everything flowed so smoothly. Med watched out for us and gave us a well-rounded experience. We wanted to try food from the road side and restaurants, everything was yummyyyy. When we did the canopy walk Med walked with us that could not go too fast. He helped plan a surprise for my sister birthday at the resort. Med was attentive, caring , open, and funny. You should book all of his trips.
