Acropolis
The Acropolis of Athens (Ancient Greek: ἡ Ἀκρόπολις τῶν Ἀθηνῶν, romanized: hē Akropolis tōn Athēnōn; Modern Greek: Ακρόπολη Αθηνών, romanized: Akrópoli Athinón) is an ancient citadel located on a rocky outcrop above the city of Athens, Greece, and contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historical significance, the most famous being the Parthenon.
Herod Atticus Odeon
The Odeon of Herodes Atticus is a stunning stone theater located on the southwest slope of the Acropolis in Athens. Built in 161 AD by the Roman senator Herodes Atticus in memory of his wife, it was originally covered with a wooden roof and could seat around 5,000 spectators. Still in use today for concerts and performances, it is one of the finest examples of ancient Roman theater architecture in Greece.

It amazing to see what ancient civilizations could accomplish. Our guide, Hermes, was excellent, knowledgeable and very personable! We learned so much from him… just know that it is a long climb to the top, but he gave us many rest stops in between. We also did the Agora and Museum which is really interesting as well. Thanks Hermes for a great tour!

Our tour guild was excellent. She was very knowledgeable about the history of areas. She was also very understanding with slower walkers so they were never left behind.

Having visited Athens, it is important we visit Acropolis and Parthenon. It is more of ancient ruins being brought up painstakingly for public to visit. Walk is a good exercise but for able bodied, it is not a strain. Will I do it again, doubt it.

We did the 9am tour , it was really excellent. Our guide Laura was knowledgable and had great story telling. Lots of information on history, mythology, philosophy and spirituality associated with the Acropolis & Agora. Logistics were super easy with an easy to find meeting point , and smooth skip the line system with the tickets included. The tour group was small so there was plenty of opportunity if you had questions. Overall just great! Our highlight in Athens for sure
