It sounds like you had a really smooth and memorable experience—that’s a great review already. If you’d like, I can polish it slightly while keeping your tone and details intact: We booked a 7-hour tour of Addis Ababa’s main sights with Mickey and his team on our final day in Ethiopia before flying on to Singapore. It turned out to be a fantastic way to experience the city in the afternoon and early evening. A special thank you to our excellent guide John, as well as our bus driver, who did an amazing job navigating the hectic traffic and crowds. With 11 people getting on and off the bus at various stops, their coordination made everything feel easy and well-organized. All communication before the tour and on the day itself was seamless and professional. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would be very happy to recommend Danakil Depression Tours to anyone visiting Ethiopia. -

Our tour in Addis Ababa was fantastic. Our guide, John, was truly exceptional. Originally from Gondar, he shared deep insights into Ethiopia’s history, culture, and politics, explaining everything in a clear and engaging way. He was very patient and never rushed us, allowing plenty of time at each stop and even helping us take great photos along the way. The entire tour was perfectly organized—we didn’t have to worry about queues for tickets or entry to any of the sites in Addis Ababa. What really stood out was John’s hospitality. After the tour, he even invited us to visit his village, which was a thoughtful and generous gesture. I highly recommend this tour with Danakil Depression Tours—it was a truly memorable experience.

We had a fantastic Addis Ababa city tour with Danakil Depression Tours, and it truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we were picked up, everything was well organized, professional, and enjoyable. The tour covered all the major highlights of the city. Visiting the National Museum and seeing the famous Lucy fossil was a real highlight, and our guide explained everything in a clear and engaging way. Walking through Mercato was an unforgettable experience — vibrant, busy, and full of local life. We also loved exploring the historic Piazza area and visiting St. George’s Church, which gave us a deeper understanding of Ethiopia’s rich culture and history. One of the best parts of the tour was the drive up to Mount Entoto, where we enjoyed stunning views over Addis Ababa. The visit to the Ethnographic Museum was also very interesting and well guided, offering great insight into the country’s diverse cultures and traditions. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive to our needs, always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying the experience. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, and the pace of the tour was perfect — not rushed, but still covering a lot in one day. We highly recommend Danakil Depression Tours for anyone looking to explore Addis Ababa. It was a well-planned, informative, and memorable experience that gave us a great introduction to the city.

I recently completed my third trip with Danakil Tours—this time to anddis—and once again, I was 100% satisfied with the service provided. Every single moment of the journey was enjoyable, perfectly organized, and executed with professionalism. What sets Danakil Tours apart, and why I keep coming back, is the incredibly high standard of care. I was traveling by myself, but the experience felt far from lonely, thanks entirely to the extraordinary Tour Manager, Mickey Mickey went above and beyond her duties. She took care of me not just as a client, but truly like her own mother, her own family. This level of personalized, genuine compassion and attentiveness is rare and deeply appreciated. She ensured I was comfortable, safe, and enjoying every aspect of the tour. The entire team at theomo valley branch was also exceptionally good and contributed to a flawless experience. Thank you so much, Danakil Tours, and a special, heartfelt thank you to addis. I am already looking forward to booking my next trip with you

Addis Ababa City Tours is the best option for Ethiopia. Danakil Depression has amazing tour packages, and this is one of the best. I'm a big fan of coffee, and we had a folkloric dinner where we were served coffee. I always bring coffee wherever I travel. So, when we explored Merkato, I had to buy locally grown coffee; I would say everyone should; it's one of a kind. Merkato was an amazing experience; it had an open-air market, interaction with locals, and locally grown products; it was truly an authentic experience

Mickey was an exceptional guide. The juice store I was taken to was very good. I went over time, but they treated me well to the end. THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ETHIOPIA was closed. I don`t see Lucy.
