This was absolutely amazing! If you are on the fence, just sign up and do it- you won’t regret it! The first thing you’ll notice is the barking of the sea lions as you get close and then you’ll see then start to come up to the boat. Jump in and just hang out as they check you out. Some things we did 1) hung out on the side of the group so we weren’t all clumped together 2) invested in a good water proof bag for our phone to take pictures 3) let them come up to you and enjoy watching them. I’d say we were pretty much surrounded by at least 100-200 the entire time, they got within a few feet of us jumping, splashing, and barking. Amazing experience and the tour operators are good at making sure you are respecting them and their space. Totally worth it!

Fabulous! Do not hesitate. Not too cold and not too smelly! The sea lions are like playful, excited puppies. I had an amazing time. Nice boat ride with information given on the way.

Pick up was easy, reliable on time. Staff was friendly knowledgeable. The views were stunning and the sea puppies were hilarious. Once in a lifetime experience, scenery is incredible. Just prepare for the cold water. It is a shock, but everything else is wonderful.

Our guides were amazing, they helped us get closer to the sea lions, I recommend bringing goggles to see the sea lions under water as they swim by. We got some great shots on our water camera too. Don’t forget your towels.

As fearful as I was the morning of to hop into the cold water considering it wasn't warm out at all (I almost cxl), our guide was absolutely TERRIFIC and made us all SO comfortable, both in & out of the water! The sea lion's sure give you a whaling of a greeting (screams, roars, & all) that's super intimidating, but once you hope into the freezing water, you don't notice the cold or strong smell because you have so many eager kid's coming at you excited to say hi! They're just so curious! Feet up & all will be fine! I liked linking up with our group in the water as they did somersaults below us & were unpredictable to say the least! Our other guide even getting there was super amazing, showing us his hometown & just really informative! All the guy's, Fernando, Rodrigo, & I apologize, I'm forgetting our super amazing Guide who picked us up, but ALL were absolutely terrific, beginning to end! Tip: Definitely take Dramamine (I don't usually get sick & I and 1/2 our group got sea sick), don't fear the cold or swells boating out to (I'm a PANSIE to the cold) - all will be okay, & bring a change of clothes to easily switch into after, maybe even a face wipe because the smell, oh the smell, will be everywhere on you! BUT it's all absolutely worth it! Been to Africa & all over, and this was the most thrilling experience by far!!!
