Espiritu Santo Island is an incredible paradise that you will never forget!
The experience of swimming with sea lions is very nice, they are playful and they usually come close to interact with the swimmers.
(During the months of June, July, and August, swimming with sea lions in their rookery is not allowed, so we just see them from the boat and snorkel and/or hike at another site of the island)
We always try to take our clients to the beaches where there are less people, so that they get a unique experience with the feeling of adventure that we like so much.
Finally, learning about the history of the ancient settlers, the fauna and flora of the area, the current lifestyle of the locals, and being accompanied by marine biologist guides will make your day a very enriching one.
It can only be visited on boats with permits and certified guides.

What To Expect
Snorkel with friendly sea lions at Los Islotes (colony of over 600 sea lions). During June, July, and August (reproductive season) we snorkel at other sites, like rocky reefs that hopefully also have sea lions! Lunch on a sandy beach and turquoise water of the island (shade, benches, towels, ceviche, chips, water, and soda) Visit to points of interest on the island (abandoned pearl farm, mangroves, rock formations, and bird colonies). Chance to see dolphins, whales, and/or manta rays (mobulas).

5.00If you’re a nature nut, dreamed of being a marine biologist as a kid in the 90s, or you just want to experience the incredible Espiritu Santo National Park in a responsible way - I’m not sure if there’s a better way to make some core memories. Daleth and her team were knowledgeable, just as excited to see the animals as we were, and maintained an obvious reverence and protective care for the island and surrounding sea. The boat is simple with a canopy for the melanin-challenged (much appreciated), which allows you to feel close to the kaleidoscope of colourful fish in the water and feel the salt spray in your hair. We were served a delicious ceviche lunch on a secluded beach, the only other patrons being a gull and a heron. The obvious highlight of the trip was having the privilege to witness a mother humpback whale and her calf swimming together. A very lucky sighting we were told, as most of the whales tend to move on by May. There were so many other things I would need to write a novel to go through it all. Long story short, book the trip. Amazing value and something you’ll remember forever. Muchas gracias, MTA ! Te queremos!

4.00My son-in-law made the booking arrangements so unsure of details there. BUT, the trip was great. John and Christian were wonderful. Lunch was good. I only wish there was prior notice on the details of type of boat and length of trip to get where we were going so I could have prepared better with attire :). Also for some of us, knowing the details about the snorkeling portion might have encouraged more to partake. Like knowing the boat would be nearby the entire time in the water :).

5.00I went on this excursion with Omar and Christian, who were both very kind. Omar shared very interesting information about marine life and the surrounding nature. I loved seeing the birds, fish, sea lions, and we even came across dolphins. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better last day in La Paz, thank you so much! Thanks to the excellent organization, I even made it to the airport on time 😉

5.00My sister and I took the Espiritu Santo Island tour with snorkeling, Sea Lions and beach lunch this past week. We were both very impressed by the professionalism and knowledge of the pilot [Christian] and the guides [Omar and Alex]. We learned about the geology of the area and attention was paid to environmental issues as well. The guides also put us at ease by offering options. Lunch with two types of ceviche was excellent. This trip was one of the highlights of our vacation. I high recommend the company Mexcio Travel Adventure.

5.00The tours to Espiritu island all looks the same, so I chose this one and I really did not regret. Alex was the guide, and Christian the captain. They both did a great job of entertaining us during the entire tour. Alex was very generous with information and all questions were welcomed. The tour itself was well organized, the sailing was smooth, snorkeling was great, a bit of current, but Alex lead through this. I would definitely take other tours with these guys. Thanks.
