What To Expect

Glide through the forest on this unique zipline canopy tour and experience Coromandel's breath-taking native forest from all levels, as you fly above the trees and walk beneath the ferns. Our knowledgeable guides will lead you on an unforgettable journey, to learn about Driving Creek’s transformation from kauri logging, gold-mining and pastural farming, into a lush hand planted native forest, a haven for regenerating kauri trees and kiwi. Two of our expert guides will greet and outfit you with the safety equipment you will need for the journey. A spectacular 18 minute train ride will take you up New Zealand’s only mountain railway to the start of your Ziplining experience. Your two friendly guides will then lead you along eight ziplines, which span 705 meters through trees and across gullies and streams, to experience New Zealand’s native trees and birds, including our largest tree species, the Kauri.

Great zip lines and informative history of this amazing place. Very friendly team. Great that it’s a trust meaning your support is reinvested in the forest restoration being undertaken. Well worth the time and spend.
Memorable, fun, a must to do in the Coromandel.

Spectacular! Beautiful view from the top as your zip lining through all 8 obstacles. We absolutely had so much fun, both tour guides were amazing. We got to know a little more about the history of the place and how it all started by a man name Barry Brickell. That’s amazing in it self. Thank you to the awesome tour guides who taught us some few tricks when your zip lining and just enjoy it while you can. I would definitely go back again! Thank you and God bless.

This was a highlight of our trip to NZ. As someone who is scared of heights I felt safe and supported by the two wonderful staff members Liam and Tani.( Hope I spelt that correctly) The setting is beautiful and zipping through the trees, magical. So glad we drove to Coromandel for this experience. We looked at several ziplining companies in NZ and we chose Driving Creek because of the setting. If you are looking to enjoy an outdoor activity, do yourself a favour and see the team at Driving Creek because they were fantastic. Thanks so much guys for giving us such a great time.

Fun zips and great guides. First a little tiny train takes you to the top of the trail, then you go down a series of eight ziplines with short stops between to learn the history and conservation of the area. The guides were fantastic and the whole experience very funa ND memorable!

Good time was had by all! I took my three grandchildren aged between 6-9. What an adventure, first travelling up the mountain by small train to get to our start point. Our team leaders filled us in on the history of the train built by NZ’s first professionally paid potter (I recommend to do the driving creek train ride too, I’ve done it three times and love it!) We were also educated on NZ’s native trees, plants and pest control which was a bonus. There were 8ziplines to come down, some of which were longer & higher than others. It was fun & exhilarating not just for the kids but for this Nana too! The staff were very safety conscience and extremely professional! I trusted them implicitly, and would do it again. The grandkids are already organising the next one 😅 The only downside is the cost, I believe many Kiwi families would never get the opportunity to treat their families to this. I didn’t get much change back from $500 that is for one adult & 3 kiddies under 9 apart from that I rate it 10/10

We had an awesome time our guides were super stars! We loved the Zip lining it was our first time and felt incredibly safe. Trip included the cutest train trip and a bit of bush walking with lots of interesting info and history on your way to the platforms. Highly recommend and we will be back !

It was a wonderful day out with the grandkids. The first zip line was a bit scary for us all, but it got easier and more fun after that. It will be a place, day, and time we will remember
